It's maiden voyage was yesterday....I didn't drive it through the fence

Took the yard blower and blew off all the clippings and then connected the cutting deck water wash and set the deck to it's lowest setting and engaged the cutting blades....

It was waxed and black plastic treated with Mother's product before it's maiden voyage.

Will keep it looking and running like new.

Just so you know, the washout connection is not effective for long term care of the mower deck. Make sure you visually check it once a month or so to ensure it is not getting clogged up. Also clean it at the end of the season by hand.

And I waxed my lawn tractors as well. They cut a lot better when they are shiny.

I did that for the first year. Now it's been sitting outside for 3 years. The rain keeps it clean .

Does the lawn tractor have an hour meter? Sears lists it as optional for that model.

I dont think it does. The seller or real estate agent are being way to difficult on everything. I asked to meet the seller, look at shit he's selling and ask few house questions and so far agent doesn't want me anywhere close to seller.
My real estate agent said it a normal real estate practice, but it makes zero sense for me

I'd pass in that case. Too much stuff could be wrong with them and those prices aren't great. If you want them, then offer $500 for both. Then if they suck, you can sell them on Craigslist.

Planning on buying that snow blower from him for 300 and will deal with lawn situation later. Owner said takes him about 1 hour to do lawn or can pay $45 to landscapers. Maybe ill get lucky and he leaves lawnmower for free

Ps. It doesn't have hour meter so who knows how old that thing is

Been meaning to respond for a while but been busy...

Lawn tractor: Deere X354. Bought brand new but a prior year model at a substantial discount. I have about .7acre of yard to mow. I'll likely use a mod kit to improve the transaxel. Got a 42" deck but mainly because I didnt have a lot of storage space. Sometimes wish I had a zero turn.

String Trimmer: Husqvarna 324L. 4 cycle so no oil/gas mixture.

Leaf Blower: Stihl BR600. So much fun.

Snowblower: Ariens Deluxe 24"

What'd the OP end up deciding on?

Honda mower with plastic deck. 3 yrs old and zero problems.

20 year old Echo string trimmer. It...just...won’t...die.

15 year old Echo leaf blower. Same comment as the string trimmer.

15 yr old Husqvarna chainsaw. No problems, I don’t use it often.

The above are for a city-suburb size yard.

Yes, or ask the neighbors who they use, unless you enjoy yard work (some people do I guess) its pretty cheap to have the grass mowed. Then you don't have to store the mower (I hate the space they take up), and deal with it.

For blowers I have a DeWalt electric and its is perfect for my purposes, a good gas blower will have more power and will obviously run as long as you put gas in it, but they can be a bit temperamental, and noisy, and you have to deal with premix.

I used to love premix (for dirt bikes and such), now its just a pain...getting old.

Guatemalans. $100 / mo. including hedge trims and Round Up treatments. Extra $100 + Burger King gift cards for Christmas. Extra for tree trims. I do the weeds, fertilizer, and pest control myself.

Most lawn services in our area convert to snow plowing for the winter. One stop shopping, with the bonus of never getting cold fingers from shoveling/blowing snow or having to carry a smelly can of gasoline in your car.....

Got a cub cadet xt2 riding mower from an actual power equipment store not home depot(it does make a difference) that’s been great
Echo leaf blower had for almost 10yrs still works like new. Starts up immediately everytime
Husqvarna chainsaw 435 that while ive only had to use it a few times starts right up even if it hasnt been touched in over a year. Cut through anything i’ve needed
Stihl weedeater works great starts right up and has plenty of power
