More evidence that you want the 911. It’s the closest thing you can get to the GT3 with your budget. For the extremely obvious reason

Very true. PDK alone is without a doubt the best automated manual, and PDK-S does kick it up a notch. I love the both paddles pull neutral feature. So much fun!

AMG C63s if the manual is not a requirement but rather a preference as listed in the OP.

Update - Worked out a deal on GT350, dealer is giving me good trade-in price on my BRZ. I took the Mustang on a test drive and it sounds epic!

I couldn’t pull the trigger though- front /back bumpers are misaligned, rubber stripping looks horrendous, the interior plastics on the door is just sad looking. The BRZ interior while not luxury by any means is at least put together well and all the touch points are way higher quality than GT350.

BTW this is a new GT350 that had 20miles on it - never owned American car. Its just sad that such a great car is put together in such unprofessional way. I think driving 911 GTS Spoiled all other cars for me 🙁

That's the trade off. You're talking 500+ natural horsepower that sounds magnificent for half the price of a GTS 911.

They gotta take a corner cut somewhere.

My concern is if the simple stuff was put together so bad - the engine itself is probably the same. A bunch of ppl had their motors blow up for no reason- the 2019+ engines are revised but still have issues. My wife also voted against it because its just a “Mustang” 😒

At this point - will be focusing on finding a manual 911 preferably a T or 15/16 S, GTS. The 2018/2019 that are Certified are decent values considering the extra warranty coverage Porsche provides.

T is the way to go imo, except you'll never find one for $75k. They're too new and still going for $90k+, you'll have to look at older Carrera's and S', GTS' seem to be more expensive.

I'd take a GTS over a T. Just looks meaner.

You could get the T with the GTS front fascia, although most weren't optioned like that.

Most 2015/16 GTS are more than a T.
I would prefer NA motor of the GTS as well. I’m planning to test drive a T this weekend to see how it sounds with sport exhaust, this one is a PDK. The benefit of the T is you still have 2yrs of factory warranty plus 2yrs CPO. Very hard to find manual for either though...

Also continuing my search for 2015/16 S and 4S as well with sport exhaust.

I've been lusting over the R8 lately, and $75K can get you a nice gen1....

I bought a 981S last summer and absolutely love it....found a highly spec'd one with all my must haves and saved about $20K over the next priced GTS version and its basically the same car once I put an exhaust on her. You can do a Cobb or Softronic tune on it and get more HP than a GTS also for about $1200...finding a white one with the X73 sport suspension wasn't easy but I stayed patient and found my unicorn

I had a T in PDK. I absolutely loved it. I much prefer the Porsche 3.0 over BMWs 3.0 twin turbo engine. For me, I prefer the more linear powerband, and the way it still revs to redline like an NASP car. It also has a great sound and is a bit reminiscent of the air cooled 911s. Throttle response is so good and really almost no sign of any turbo lag. Just such a balanced car all around.

My wife and I are looking for another M3 (wouldnt have sold my other has I anticpated buying another but that was a while ago now) and we test drove an individual Grigio Medio over Cohiba Brown M3 Competition with DCT. I had not driven DCT in a while, but it felt awfully slow on downshifts and a bit lazy on upshifts (was on fastest setting in all sport plus modes), at least compared to PDK.

Stunning car. You can certainly gain some good power on these with a full exhaust and tune. Is this a 6 speed or PDK?

Thanks, it is a PDK.....Amazing transmission, but I miss the manual

It just took so long for a white on black with x73 with the platinum Satin Carrera S wheels and sports steeering wheel to pop up that I didn't mind trying out the PDK after hearing everyone raving about it and don't get me wrong it is an amazing transmission but I wish it was MT to tell you the truth, but it did make it an easier sell to the wife and launch control is pretty fun....there's just something about a manual that's hard to replicate

I drove a 991.2 base with manual trans and sport exhaust. Actually i wasn’t that impressed with it.

The exhaust sound is very muted and you get the burbles in Sport mode but very similar to the M3. You do hear the turbos much better in 911. The transmission is also a bit rubbery and throws are longer compared to my BRZ and the clutch pedal is long.

I found a nice T but its PDK and maybe too similar to what my M3 already provides...
