Those people, who complaint about the weight of M5, never understand how nimble the 2.7 tones XM is.

You’ll never take M5 to race track. Does the weight really matters.

I believe most new M5 owners have at least another M car for performance driving.

Like me, I got XM, M4 and GR Supra. XM just for daily and Supra for track mostly.

Looks great but it’s way to heavy. Not interested in a 5500 pound sedan. I’ll buy an x6m at that rate. This is the same reason to why the S63 AMG coupe never sold, to fucking heavy.

Take an F90. Add a Racechip. Put four NFL linebackers inside. You now have a G90.

More like 6 linebackers. Fun fact: the G90 weighs more than the F90’s max loaded weight (GVWR) of 5,380lb.

I forget who said it, but I like the quote:

I prefer an older car that is good looking to an ugly new one.

The side profile is just so disproportionate. I like the front, really dislike everything else.
But, just think of the instagram cred you'll get with this kit! :-D

No need for the extra power. The F90 has the best power to weight ratio.

Looks okay, but it’s not getting me out of my G80 any time soon. I thought when I got it I’d eventually sell for the next M5. Now I think I’ll keep until at least the next gen 3 series drops in MY28.

I'd skip the exhaust tips and the decals, everything else I like. This car looks better and better the more I look at it.

Why is bmw displaying model information on the interior and side of vehicles nowadays?
What is the benefits of doing that?

Saw this car IRL today in Munich. Not pretty, the matte grey M5 without M/P parts that was standing next to it was so much sleeker.

The M/P parts at the rear are hideous, i.e. the side skirts and the "diffusor" that protrudes so much that it looks to be an ultra-posh bump-protector rather than a diffusor. The splitter was fine, but that's about it.

Shame that M Performance parts seem to be almost all show and no go on the G-platform.

I actually like the front lip and rear diffuser on that car. I’m not feeling the side skirts or the sticker.

Without doubt the pure ICE cars are going to be the ‘keepers’ for performance car enthusiasts/collectors, as with all EV’s these hybrid cars are just throwaways due to what will be shocking ongoing long term costs.
Hybrid/EV is fine for dispoable commuter appliances where dynamics dont matter but has no place in the world of ‘real’ performance cars.
Indeed, they could have cheated the system by delivering a maliciously compliant hybrid system with a bonker NA V10, a la Gordon Murray T50.

Even with the XM they fcked up. Ferrari sells a NA V12 SUV ! With such a low production volume they could have made something similar, specially if that thing was to follow the M1 as a M only vehicle...

I don't think anyone would have been shocked either if they made an S58 M5 with hella HP but similar weight to the F90.

They could have went like porsche with the 911 T hybrid as well, making an hybrid system in the like of the P1 and laferrari, where they game the rating just enough again to pass the green regulations, but in the real world is only there to deliver performance.
But, as we have seen with Tavarish P1, all those hybrid systems have expirations dates.

BMW is just wasted potential these days... both in styling and powertrains.
