yeah I'll take it a step farther and say I think it should only be a required thing on cars with automatic doors like the 7 series. Sure it'd be cool to have I guess (it's also another thing to break on the car, so there's that) but pretty far down the list of deal breakers

I have to say the massage option in cars are useless, not to mention I think they mess with the leather and make it loose. Soft close it useful, but nothing I need as I slam close my doors anyways.

Think your F90 and F90 in general looks so much better than the G90.
BMW just totally lost me on their styling. My favorite is still the F10.

I saw an IOMG at my dealer and I'm really trying to like the car...I really am.

More powerfull, better handling, quicker lighter and newer technology. The only thing I vote F10 over F90 is analog cluster and seats.

Oh definitely. The reason that 2 weeks ago I bought an 135i with DCT. I know, it's not the M-DCT, but still great that BMW offered this.

To think BMW was able to shed 17lbs from the F10 to the F90 while adding AWD is what the ///M division used to be.

Its a better all round package and value proposition (than the F90 was on launch). It does do the M5 part well as well, but the F90 runs rings around it on handling and dynamics. On the other hand the G90 M5, is such an effortless and good drive (so comfortable and fast when you mash the pedal), that you really start to care less about its deficiencies. |

I think BMW "f.... up", when they launched the new M5, badged as a new M5. Its a good car, but its not an "M5". Its a modern take on a M5, but I rather it was badged as something different, maybe M5e or M7, I don't know, because its a completely different philosophy. When I drove the first 10 miles in it, I was like what the hell, this does not "feel" like an M5, especially with the smoothness of the hybrid powertrain. Later with time, I understood the car. BMW made a "emissions" passable car with the least possible compromises for daily drivers that can still rock your world when you want to. So the suspension is supremely supple (so are the seats). The car is ridiculously insulated from the outside. I had very recently driven the M760Li G11. To me this car feels like its cheap substitute. Its very similar in its philosophy and the way they both go about their business |

Exactly. Rest in peace dynamic, semi agile & awesome power to weight ratio M5's of the yesteryears. This on is a like a sexy plus sized model. Looks great for the night & in the short term. But it's a pain to put up with in the day to day real world & the dairy air keeps getting more absurd. I'll keep my F90 as well & have no regrets. In fact, I'll sleep better knowing it sounds & performs better with no mods then this one ever will. LOL

To me G90 is amazing car the same as 750 or 760. I had no problem if it was badged as like M560 , M570 or M580 that has rear wheel steering option regardless of full leather or seat massaging and soft closing door which are not deal beaker at all. The problem is G90 does not have the DNA of “M division” so shouldn’t be called M5. This is the first non SUV BMW weighs more than 5000 lbs with “M badge” on it.

Like I said, bmw m5 started as a 6cyl car, then new era of M5 came with S62 V8 E39. Which evolved into an F10 and then F90. Now we entered a different era of M5, electrified one.
No, I didn’t forgot the E60 M5, that’s a separate, unique in its own way, kind of M5 E60 is closer to G90, in my opinion, than to any other M5. I remember when E60 replaced E39, it received lots of hate from e28, e34, e39 owners. But won its enthusiasts love by performing like no other |
