Roughly 4 miles on an elliptical burning between 950-1150 calories per session. I did this religiously for for about 5 months. I also did intermittent fasting. I ate all my meals between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Lots of going to bed hungry and waking up starving.

I got hell bent on trying to get a six pack and got too small. I was at 145 about a month ago. Trying to come back up now packing on lean muscle; it's slow going but seeing results. I start cutting again Saturday for two weeks. I'm actually looking forward to it. Anticipating seeing what I look like after I shed a little of this fluff I've put back on.
Tomorrow I complete my current insulin drug trial, and am free to "adjust" my eating habits to my own desires. During the trial I was compelled to eat 3-a-day meals, and use their titration for insulin based on my blood sugar levels.
While I have the sun shining and the pool is swim-able, I'm going to try that every other day during the week, then compliment with bike (actually on the road on weekends) I have both an elliptical and recumbent bike at home in the Wii-room, and those rarely get used so time for timer! 200lbs is just too heavy for running, my knee is taking a beating and pretty congested these days. Soccer should have started up, but we are a bit delayed so I can shed a bit more before that starts up.

Food is my enemy really. That boneless rib-eye was SOOOO good last night. I scorched it a bit getting the asparagus/shrooms ready to go on the grill with them, but the marbling made it still so juicy!!!

I'm the same way with food. I have no problems going hard at the gym and staying dedicated. I actually pay really close attention to what I eat, i just tend to (feel like) I have issues with my portions. I track my calories and stay inside my caloric range for the day but I still feel like I eat too much. Bulking for the first time this month has really been a challenge. I've been eating at times when I just wasn't hungry in order to get my calories in for the day.

Yeah, too much has never been a problem, but I do have the hollow dessert leg that I can call on any time.

Just this morning, it's barely 6:40 when I walk my timecard over to the other building. Nobody has arrived there yet, but as I walk by the front counter: mini Butterfingers and mini Milky Way are already open. There were some other choices as well, but they weren't open yet. So, a cup of decaf and one of each for breakfast this morning ;(

I started my "bulking" diet this week. But I always go back on it slowly. Right before the beach, I was ending my diet at 3100 calories. Today I bumped up to 3500 as I was still slowly losing at 3100.

I will stay there until weight gain stalls for 2 weeks, then bump 250-300 calories a day and repeat.

When I first started my diet, I was holding my bodyweight (212) around 4K per day. This year, I plan to try and get back up to where I was at about 5 years ago....somewhere in the 220's!

But I will stop and cut for a few weeks to increase my insulin sensitivity if needed so that I don't gain too much bodyfat.

Went to the beach at a pretty lean 191lbs, maybe next year I can do the same....but at an even 200lbs!

Same here this morning. Something about this exercise I really love. You can just focus on your back, and use it to test the waters when your next deadlift workout shows up on your phone app...and the weight has been automatically increased. I know if I can pull it in the rack....deadlifting it won't be an issue.

Plus it just looks cool to load the bar up that much!

Yeah....my app has my workouts changing so it might be rack pulls one week, and deadlifts the next. Never in the same workout though.

But if I can pull it in the rack, I know I can D.L. it as my legs are so much stronger than the rest of me. The first half of deadlifts are the easiest part for me....maybe because I am short!

Never done those hip thruster things, those are for girls. Did my first set light then made the mistake of a hard flex of ham/glute, just to test effectiveness. Was very close to rolling around on the floor in pain from an ass cramp.

Night 3 of the cardio kick. Swam, bike, elliptical. Changing insulin, timing, and trying to extend my fasting until 11:00 am. Also increasing water. Weighed in on the Drs scale at 203

Had a nice chest workout this morning. Still getting some crazy pumps especially since bumping my calories back up.

Tomorrow morning is back.

Usually I hit the gym about 3:30am-4:00am each morning, but since raising my calories I have been waking up earlier than normal for some reason.

So everyday this week so far I have been in the gym by 2:30am. It's a great time as there has only been 1 other person there each time. First morning there he asked me near the end of my workout if I was competing....I told him no..I just got back from the beach and I walked away from him.

He hasn't bothered me since!

IS this sudden increase in "elimination" a result of the fasting, or more all the nuts I'm consuming to fill up some empty space in my belly afternoons/evenings???

With that said, last night in the gym I weighed in at 198. That's about the weight of the "matter" that was "eliminated" during multiple sessions in the afternoon.

I would say it's all the nuts because of the fiber content.

With fasting or intermittent fasting, most find they have to turn to a fiber supplement unless they can get 25+ grams in during their eating hours.

I always take fiber anyways as when I'm bulking, it makes it easier to get more food in when your "regular".

4K+ calories a day is a lot of food if it's "clean" food!

Wouldn't clean food include lots of fruits/veggies?

I too usually need bulk fiber because I don't eat anywhere near enough f/v

I would say it does. You ever seen a pic of a gorilla that looked like he needed to bulk up?
