My primary watch is the Tissot PRC 200
However, if I'm wearing a dress shirt that's a little tight around the wrist, then I have a Tissot PR 50 And I picked this up when I was younger because I thought it looked cool...neat watch though. |

I see a watch as a tool. I'm not into jewlry AT ALL. I wouldn't even wear my wedding band if I didn't think it would offend my wife. I don't need another expensive thing to worry about when Timex works just as well.
I used to wear a Timex Ironman Triathlon. Light, tough, multifunction, practical and cheap. I could bash the crap out of it on the mountain bike trails and not care. Maintenance? When the face got too scratched up I'd just get a new one for less money than any amount of maintenance on a more expensive watch. My most recent looked like this, but with a steel face... My wife convinced me it just didn't work with my business attire. When it finally broke, her and a friend had me looking at things like Citizen. I guess some looked OK, but I wasn't impressed with any of them. They were heavy, fragile, and you had to spend a lot to get the most basic features, like an alarm. The user interfaces usually sucked compared to the old Ironman. I wound up getting this... It worked almost as well as my old ironman as far as functions (although the buttons aren't as nice), but the thing is heavy (irritating while running and biking), more fragile (crystal has zero protection), less comfortable (can't beat a resin band) and the analog hands often obstruct the 'real' watch face...you know...the one that displays most of the information. Consequently, I don't wear a watch anymore. I use my phone and laptop while at work, but it'd still be handy while I'm running and stuff. I might get another Ironman, although I'd like a digital sports watch I could still wear to work. I was thinking something like these maybe... |

^^The digital face can be turned off. Compare it to what I was wearing before, the 1st pic. Usually no suit- khakis and a tie. Also keep in mind I'm an engineer who works mostly with other engineers.

Two Seikos, although I'm almost always checking time elsewhere, like my Droid or laptop or PC.

Special occasions only...dinner with the wife...formal dining, parties, etc. I don't wear them daily for work or casual.

I'm the same way, for the most part. I don't like wearing my Tag to work. It's not alot compared to what some of the people here are wearing but to me it's a lot of money and I want to keep it in good shape. I'll probably buy one more Tag if I have another son (wife is preggy again) so when my boys get older, they can have my watches for a graduation gift out of college.

-tag 2000 (had it for 15+ years or so, bought it myself when I was about 16 or 17, wear this the most)
-rolex datejust oyster band -casio g shock red frogman -casio g shock dw6900 stealth/militiary black -raymond weil dinner watch (gift from my job for 5 years service) my next watch is either going to be a Breitling Super Ocean heritage or an Omega Planet Ocean... both look so nice on a Mesh strap. you can never go wrong buying a higher end watch, they classic ones hardly change, and keep going up in value (more so with a weak dollar)... Something to think about before spending $2000 on a more expensive TAG. At that point, consider a true collectible time piece, ie- breitling, rolex, panarei, iwc etc etc....
