Where the M60 S68 hybrid will coexist with a full M model should we expect to see that m model move up to the 650hp s68 version from the XM? (I am thinking about the x5/x6 M)

Thank you!

Under G60/G61/G68 5er, do the 545e and 550e outputs need to be updated?

Thanks. That post does tend to run away from me from time to time.

More clarity for the puzzling renaming of X7 M50i to M60i. This actually applies to all new models with S68 or older models switching from N63 to S68: they will all get "60" instead of previously planned "50". Examples: 750i->760i, X5/X6/X7 M50i->M60i. I am almost certain that the 535hp output I'm seeing for S68 in these cars is just the ICE part, and it will be supplemented by a large addition of boostable power from the electric motor.
In the general section it says s68 will be a mild hybrid. Does this mean the mild hybrid puts out a large amount of power now, or we will be seeing plug-in hybrid like in the XM?

The exact configuration of the S68 in its various applications is invisible to me, and I won't be able to tell anything about it besides what I've already said. We'll have to wait until May or June when BMW will publish the marketing materials on G70, including the specifications of 760i.

Concerning the G70...

I didn't found any information...
Is there going to be for Europe a short- and longwheel G70?
What about the i7?

Interesting, not asking you, but thinking out loud....

I wonder if the Gen2 "mild" hybrid system has a good enough battery and powerful enough motor that it will function closer to a traditional non-plug-in hybrid instead of just an upgraded starter motor that can apply a small extra kick from time to time.

There's only one wheelbase this time.

Will they eventually change the M850i to the M860i in the next few years before the 6/25 EOP?

They just did the LCI and didn't change it....so I presume they wouldn't probably do that after the fact?

G1x are keeping N63 for the rest of their production and therefore won't be renamed.

Do you know anything more about these cars? Full electric? FAAR-WE? The "Neue Klasse" Architecture will debut later than 2024, so this won't be the used technique I think?

That's not very promising (the looks)

Hopefully BMW will increase the output of the electric motors like Volvo is doing.

Reading the top post and several recent posts, it looks like the 45e update coming to various models this year and next year will get a power bump to 480hp and I'd imagine a bump in all electric range as well

True but I'm assuming since the 40i and the 45e are both getting the same amount of extra horsepower it looks like the entire bump comes from increased power in the ICE on the 45e. Hope I'm wrong.

Not sure where you're seeing that, but im seeing the 40i will get a 35hp (335 to 370) bump whereas the 45e will get a 91hp (389 to 480) bump. I'd imagine it's a combination of both ICE and electric motor upgrades but hopefully the OP can chime in to confirm

Ok, cool. I probably misread it which I am very apt to do.
