I really don't see how the change is so terrible. To me, the new one is much better.

I think it looks good. Frankly, I think the last generation is the one that didn't stand up to the test of time. Looks horribly dated and bulbous. Just my opinion.

The big question for me is price. If it's too high people will just get cars like the z4 or maybe m2. Either way, I think it's good Toyota is getting back in the game, even if it's mostly a BMW.

All this time and effort.
They couldn't have done this with the GT86? It doesn't look that much different.
If they would have developed that platform, I'm sure it could have been VERY close to this, and without the price tag that the Supra is going to cost.
This is like the NSX - a let down.

The GT86 is so poorly packaged. It barely holds a flat four (above the steering rack), there's no way they could wedge an I6 in there without creating Hightower's CVCC.

It looks to me like they took the concept, added ugly and irregular and put a bimmer motor in it! I hate the angry koi front end and the bangle rear end combo

While I find it to be a terrible disappointment, let's see some nice wheels with a good drop on it. Looks like a 4x4 in those photos with the mega wheel gap. The front end simply has to get lower, it's bothering the hell out of me.

I think there are many people that really need glasses. This new Supra looks nothing like what many are comparing it to.

I too agree they did a good job. Let's hope the exhaust, suspension and overall feel does the Supra legacy justice.

Previous gen Supra was a truly ugly car to me. I never liked it; even a little. My theory is the 10 year olds that saw The Fast and Furious back in 2001 became caught up in the romance. Now they're in their late 20s and reality doesn't match their memories of what they thought of a Supra at the time.

I'd bet the new Supra will be a hit.

Uh, it may not be exciting, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the Toyobaru. It's a Z4, made in Germany, with a Toyota designed body on it.

I'll be curious to see if it comes with BT CarPlay.

My only gripe is that it doesn't look anything like the original.

Much like the NSX and 8-series, they didn't create a modern interpretation of the original.
