You wanted it to look like a modern interpretation of this? 😳

OK with the caveat that I'm a BMW guy not a Toyota, I think it looks really really good. I appreciated the old Celicas from way back in the day and honestly think it looks way better than the last generation, which I always thought looked pretty bland.

Well Toyota views it as a predecessor.
In other news, we have pricing from a credible source. Quote:

I know the origins of the car and yes I see the Z4 rear end......but it still screams FR-S. None the less what a disappointment after soooooo much hype and teasing...….Phil

Funny- I was thinking about how for a lot of younger people the last gen Supra is what the name is all about. I guess I'm so damn old (48 this year) I remember all the generations of Supra. Perhaps that's why I don't really hold the Supra name in high regard. Most Supras weren't major performance cars.

Regardless, most cars nowadays are over-styled and a bit cartoonish, so this new one fits right in. |

So I guess it’s speculated that the base 3.0L will start at 49k.
^interior is not looking too bad there. I’m surprised no ones tried getting a closer look around the pedal area to see if there is any indication of a framework for a manual. But I guessed you’d have to snoop in deeper for that. |

the 'original' Supra was a variant of the late 70s Celica.

Yes i know there were 4 generations. I was referring to the A80 from the '90s, as that was the most iconic one which everybody equates with the Supra name. Poor choice of words from me.
