Never.
That'd rather emphatic; I love it

Did I miss something? Is the X6 getting a PHEV model (i.e. the xDrive50e)? Thanks.

I don't have access to that kind of information. Pretty much any discontinuation driven by low sales or similar causes, when it happens, is as news to me as to everyone else.

That would shock me. Is the AWD take rate that high on this car?

Even in the forum, most competitions are ordered with xdrive.

Since the introduction of the xDrive, I haven't had a single order of the RWD comp. (Roughly 15 cars)

I see that you are in Chicago and i am not surprised.

I created a poll (https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1911452) to get an idea of the variants market share within the forum. As of now, G80c rwd number isnt terrible.

My guess: Yes, when you have a look at the revealed i3 for China.

Makes sense in cold city markets, but still states like California, Florida, and Texas are massive population centers where [in theory] I'd imagine RWD would be the preference. To add to that, the xDrive variant is like $4000 more.

Can you elaborate the link between i3 introduction in China and M3c rwd removal rumor in US.

More model renamings; X6 will be in production a year longer than previously expected (a sign of no successor model?)

Thank you. Do you know if there will be a 5 seat only X7, can you see if the big media screen will be available on G05? New colors for G05/G06? Thank you

I stopped collecting color info a couple of years ago. I don't think a 5 seater X7 makes sense from the marketing point of view - get the XM instead when it becomes available early next year. iDrive8 is a given for all models introduced in 2018 or later.

Definitely curious about the x3. So we are looking at an x3 m50 with 450+ total system hp? I see this as another piece of evidence the gen 2 mild hybrid will have a bunch more kick…. Very curious what the new 7 announcement brings as far as ICE powertrains.

(BMW did use the 50i designation for the 456 hp v8s so the 50 worthy band is probably roughly 450-550 hp)

MY23 Production Commencement

Sorry if this has be asked countless times, but do we know when the factory starts building MY23? I'm specifically interested in the G80.

I placed an order for a G80 late November '21, the production date has been moved a number of times, now June 26, 2022. At this point, I would rather have a MY23. If the factory will be starting the '23's in July I would try to work it out with my dealer to scrap my '22 order and make it a '23. (I'm willing to pay an inevitable price increase)

You might find, it will probably end up being a MY23 whether you like it or not anyway, given the production shortages resulting from the Ukraine situation

End of June will mean the last of MY22 cars. Bad choice. Talk to your dealer NOW.

As I think Scott used to say, MY23 is anything built in 2023...
