Seriously, though, that's an awesome pic! Pic of the other pup. Vet wants him to be mildly sedated before his check up. Took 3 vet techs to hold him in place for his vaccine. He's only 14lbs and much smaller than our other Boston (in the couch pic). lol

The 100-400L is a great lens and actually works very well with a 1.4 if yoyu have a body that can f8 auto focus, which the R5 would most certainly does. If I still shot Canon I would probably already have one. The moon can be very hit and miss depending on the atmosphere. I get better results when it rises very early in the morning darkness, but am rarely up for that |

These birds stroll near the house from time to time. I think they hang out at a nearby marsh. Anyone know what they are? I assume a crane ir heron of sorts

Attempt #2. I'll try my other tripod head next time. The ball head I used for this shot takes a bit to settle out given the size/weight of the lens+teleconverter+camera body. Also found out that neither my remote or intervalometer work with the EOS R. Grrr...

The sky was clouded over last night so no moon could be seen. I managed to snag this test shot the night prior, though.

Not gonna say I'm obsessed with taking moon pix....but it has been one of my few targets of opportunity. This one is from last week.
