Maybe an i8 if the next generation m6 doesn't allow manual transmission.

Being poor at some point in your life, forcing you to shop at the 99cent store/Walmart really can help an individual see what's really important in life- and it's not shoes, clothing brand, etc
I hear ya! Early in my career - a Dr. client told me when his income from his R/E assets eclipsed his annual physician salary, he could/would retire.

I took his advise, followed his example and have several income producing assets on a rapid repayment AM's. Plus - my household is DINK

Don't knock shopping a Goodwill or thrift stores...I love getting "old' T-shirts that have plenty of life left!

It wasn't a knock. If anything I was knocking myself for thinking it mattered before I lost everything when I had turned 18.

To this day, thrift stores, walmarts, Tj Max, - all on my radar. Shoot, when I went into my BMW dealer to put in my deposit/application for my m6, I was in Walmart jersey sweats and an old Seattle sonics tank

I'm good with that.

I don't share/give my money to anyone besides my mother and grandma.

My future wife will never have to worry about food, a roof over our heads, the basic necessities for us to live comfortable.

However- If a woman wants the "finer" things in life, she's more than entitled to work for that herself. But I've worked too hard to let someone take what's mine.

I sometimes save $$$ by going out with frugal millionaire friends than some losers who pretends to have cash. Denny's, IHOPs, Cheap Chinese food places are norm with coupons.
Oh I hear you. It totally becomes a game where it's a virtue to accumulate as much money as possible while spending as little as possible.

One of my dad's colleagues recently bought his wife a $35,000 watch. I want to say it was some sort of Patek. In front of him my dad and other colleagues will sort of fake "oooh" and "ahhh" at the watch, but behind his back they totally find it to be a crass purchase. "Huh I can't believe Jack actually spent that much on a watch for his wife. He's usually so frugal with his money"

It's not that Jack can't afford it. They're all worth between $5M and $10M (well, closer to $5M). They all make between $500k and $1M. But among this group, two of them (my dad included) wear watches < $300 and drive cars < $45,000. One of them (not Jack) drives a $140,000 Mercedes AMG. Jack drives a Mercedes E350 which, by now, probably costs less than the watch his wife is wearing

Once you know you can have pretty much anything you want, you don't want it that much. You're ok knowing you can if you wanted it at the drop of a hat.

Yeah I respect that. I enjoy reading stories about people attaining significant financial success coming from humble means. $300k in passive income is absolutely phenomenal (don't let $ara see that ... I kid, I kid)

I LOVE Goodwill. I got hell of a good deals on yard supplies, and some fancy light stands for my basement.
I actually go to goodwill.com and buy some items which I can sell for hefty premium on eBay and craigslist. Profit margin is more astronomical than software companies. I just wish i can do that in bulk.

Most of my regular clothes are from Ross, Costco, and TJMaxx. Walmart? heck. I love going to walmart. I actually like Walmart more than Rodeo Drive due to varieties/diversified goods. Where can you shop for Mobil1 0w-40 motor oil , groceries, kids' bicycle/toys, electronics, and some cheap sporting goods at once?

In the past, I've dated very passive sneaky gold diggers. It is just a regular standard fundamental dating 101 living in WestLA/Westwood area. Maybe I should write one for heck of our young single male here.

Yep - I max out the 401(k) each year, have a defined company pension plan, was VERY LUCKY in 2002 with a stock purchase, have invested wisely in CRE, and with exception to the recently purchased ///M - keep my cars for the long haul (and do all maintenance that is not covered under the service plans)

Yeah I respect that. I enjoy reading stories about people attaining significant financial success coming from humble means. $300k in passive income is absolutely phenomenal (don't let $ara see that ... I kid, I kid)[/QUOTE]

Not there yet - but I have to actively look for deductions to reduce taxable income each year...

While we're on the topic of being frugal, check out this ridiculous life hack.

American Express Blue Cash Preferred has an annual fee of $75, but it comes with the following perks:

Quote:
Sign-Up Bonus: $150 after spending $1,000 in the first three months

Rewards: 6% on groceries on up to $6,000 in purchases and 1% thereafter; 3% on gas and certain department stores; 1% on everything else
Here's the life hack: Buy Shell/Chevron gift cards at grocery stores

You effectively get 6% cash back on gas that way.

Here's life hack number two: Buy Visa gift cards at grocery stores and use them to pay your purchases daily (admittedly, I haven't gone this far yet, nor do I know if my grocery store even sells Visa gift cards). You effectively get 6% cash back on everything this way.

Going to dinner with your S.O.? Buy a visa gift card at the grocery store first and then use it to pay for dinner. It's brilliant.

Oh, and that's $6000 per quarter, so $24,000/year. 6% on $24,000 is $1440. That's 10 shares of Apple . It's not a trivial amount.

NemesisX, I am glad that sara did NOT see what you wrote/did on Stock Market or Technical Analysis thread. IF she did, she would've been all over you by now.

Moderately smart ones probably did by connecting aprl posting history to May posting , and compare the chart at yahoo finance.

Hey Sara

A guy driving a 6 series BMW walked me to my car, told me i was was beautiful and funny, he actually bought me flowers from the store. I thanked him and told him i couldnt accept those since I'm taken. "you're married?" "yes, but the boyfriend wouldn't approve".

It took him a sec before he decided i might not be what he was looking for, but i took the hit for you. Move here, blondes have a bad rep here and men are all Microsoft...

Cute too he was.

I actually made sure he understood the hubby didn't care but the boyfriend would.

Last week I told one man I can't go out with him because I'm due to court for feeding my ex to a herd of parrots.

A week before that I told a cop I have no time for his bs because I needed a breast exam asap. He looked at me with pity in his eyes so I continued that my man does them free online for all women.

My reputation is taking the hit for me being bored. But this guy today was really cute. Clearly raised right.

LOL. She is faster than I thought. At least she is in the level to tell the difference between 500 shares of Tesla vs 2000 shares of Lumber Liquidator.

-Beginner gold digger will only look at house, car, suit, career. Very straight forward and obvious. Most of guys will eat those gold digger alive.
Typical Fu&Run can be performed by even a guy who never even had a gf.
-Intermediate gold digger will also look at intangibles and work on your passively regardless of house, car, suit, career.
-Professional ones are extremely speculative (like some high beta investments). These girls WILL NOT fall for lavishing stuff. They already know what their payoff is within decade. They tend to find a target during dental school, etc and push their husband to work 16+ hours.
Oh yeah, they are so smart that they will even take over the marketing side of dentistry/medicine/law office, etc.
Scary.

uh, Lups, you do not have to sell yourself. Your wedding story itself already showed us how valuable you are in the single's market. (if you weren't married.)

Lol, I am actually thinking about buying a ring finally. I have zero patience with men. As friends sure, but I'm done with the ego rubbing. No need.
