awesome - Austin is about 2 hours northwest of us.

i know a few people from our local forum that will be attending....

i may still have some videos that my buddy sent me from there last year.

nothing but screaming cars - sounded sick even through the phone.

Regardless of what you pick just be careful out there man, you know much better than I do how well these cartels are armed…I'd be willing to wager the major cartels have access to more high powered, military spec weaponry than many developing nations. I saw a picture in the Wallstreet Journal a few weeks back of a Sinaloa drug bust, an there were probably a dozen brand new HK416s. Better armed than the Mexican military officers who arrested them, and those cats weren't exactly toting .38 six shooters.

Well maybe I´ll be transferred to dangerous city that some bimmers already know... Monterrey.

Each day at least 2 or 3 people are killed a disputed city between Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel/Sinaloa Cartel.

More risk = extra $,$$$

About the movie, not yet but looks interesting.

Went last year and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Knowing a few guys who are RedBull athletes helped get even better seats and access to some cool stuff. If you are having any reservations at all about going, don't, you won't regret going if you have any interest in women, booze, cars, and motor sport (in no particular order).

A good choice, picked up a SA XDm 40 today... Now to get done working and fight through the snow storm that hit us to get to the range for some birthday shooting.

Haven't seen end of watch...I want to see ZD30 again. Now that was a seriously awesome movie, regardless of how one feels about the underlying techniques/politics. Still need to see the Hobbit too hrm...

One of the problems with this cartels specially "Los Zetas" is that use disposable personnel which are basically poor/very low economic class teens, junkies, thugs, common robbers as their "hitmen" (sicarios). With the promise that may become kignips or druglord this fools die in hands of their rivals or the government for forces.

The military grade weapons like the Barrets .50 are (thank God) limited to certain ex-military/law enforcement. But the most of the sicarios receive frag grenades, making them more deadly. 80% of this scums have an Colt AR-15 or an AK-47. While certain more skilled and ranked receive better weapons.

The government have seized RPGs-7, Stingers, claymores, military landmines, Barret .50, military-grade grenades launchers and more.

Law enforcement/military the goal in a shooting is: Headshot, at all cost.

Those are my 4 favorite things. lol, I really hope Bernie can agree on the NJ GP as well. I would LOVE to hit two GP's in a year. either way i'm going and nothing is stopping me. Wonder if there would be board interest of doing a GP meet up or something?

It's a damn good movie, wasn't sure want to expect since I'm not really a fan of Jake Gyllenhall but the fact that it was the same writer as training day convinced me.

I remember why I like working from home now. I have done laundry, made a good sized breakfast and am in the process of making myself some chicken and shrimp tetrazzini for lunch from scratch. If the guys at the office were able to stay on task without me there better than now, I would do this every day.

I had a giant burrito from one of those hole in the wall mexican places that add a "\" to the "F" rating to make it look like an "A"...best burrito ever.
