My point was that comcast truck could've very well been a school bus with less warning.
You gotta adjust your speed on icy roads in case traffic comes to a complete stop in front of you, having longer stopping distance than on dry roads et al.

A lot of police officers, fire fighters, EMS personelle get hurt in similar scenarios, people driving too fast playing with their phones.

Comcast didn't apologize for what happened, basically said their employees should be respectful and protect people regardless of who's at fault.

School bus is a horrible analogy. The issue really isnt about following regulations for cones as much as common sense.
They were parked in a blind spot where vehicles in those conditions have little response time, and then he was very rude and inconsiderate. There were vehicles actively crashing/loosing control in the present moment.
Doing the minimum in this scenerio is asinine, the conditions merit more precautions. One cone per 10 miles (as he said) sounds like a dry sunny day with plenty of visibility.
