Weather is much warmer here in the ATL area than it should be for this time of year. Supposed to be in the mid-70s though I ain't complaining.

Cold front blew through here in the Dallas area and suburbs. Glad my Christmas lights are already put up. 🎄

We peaked out at 69.3F here today, with a major cooldown coming for tomorrow and possible snow early next week. Probably our last 60+ F day for 2021.

Of course, I noticed last night when I kicked the oil boiler on for a test run that it didn't work. I also noticed that our oil-heated hot water was only lukewarm. There's oil in the tank, so I'm waiting for a service per$on to arrive because I can't look at it myself any more.....

A nice, close to 70f day here, so I decided to change my oil. After jacking & draining, I found out I was ~ 2qt. short of new oil.
Had to ride the bike to Autozone!

Feel like we've been blessed with some really nice weather this year. Mid 70's lately, sunny, no rain, starting to dip in the 60's which is perfect for golf / tennis.

We have snow in the forecast here for Sunday and Monday! Only dustings both days, with temps a bit above freezing.

With that said, brace for the polar vortex to dip into the northeast at any time now. Our primary heat boiler has been read its last rites, and we're running the heat pump to stay warm. Miracle technology, but it can't keep up with a polar vortex's outside temperatures.....

It hovered around freezing here all day. We had light snow start before sunrise, and linger on/off for most of the morning. I was surprised to see over an inch pile up on the grass.....

Lock in: Dozens stuck in England's highest pub after storm

Mon, November 29, 2021, 5:36 AM·1 min read

LONDON (AP) — Dozens of customers who stopped for a drink at Britain’s highest altitude pub got a longer stay than they bargained for, after the building was cut off by a blizzard.

Sixty-one people woke up Monday after their third night at the Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales, 270 miles (435 kilometers) north of London. They have been unable to leave since Friday, when a late autumn storm brought snow and heavy winds that felled power cables and blocked roads.

The pub sits 1,732 feet (528 meters) above sea level and is used to being cut off by bad weather.

Manager Nicola Townsend said staff had organized movies, a quiz night and karaoke for the stranded guests. They have also been entertained by an Oasis cover band, Noasis, who have also been stuck at the pub since their gig on Friday night.

Townsend said the guests were “in really good spirits.”

“They’ve formed quite a friendship ... like a big family is the best way I can describe it,” she said. “One lady actually said ‘I don’t want to leave.’”

Townsend said she hoped people would be able to head home later Monday once roads had been cleared.

In the middle of a blizzard. My contractor might just have to clear my laneway.

But it's pretty...

Car was saying -8C (17F) for the commute this morning. Was unpleasant until the heated seats / wheel kicked in. The winter jacket makes an appearance at -20C.
