When I look at Porsche’s worldwide wagon sales I wonder if anyone really wants to own a wagon. The sales performance is downright terrible. Wagons just don’t seem to sell well at all. No wonder Porsche had to drastically cut back on the wagon models they offer.

I have 3 wagons currently and as an avid skier, camper, we see them mainly in the Rockies, New England, and even Washington/Oregon. I will bet that most wagon owners use that backspace for outdoor gear. Most wagons also seem to have a higher percentage of roof boxes, roof nests, or ski racks. Let other wagon owners chime in. I see them in Europe at the campgrounds and ski towns, but over 75% of all 3 and 5 series are wagons in Europe. The sales rep at Audi in Munich said "We don't sell any sedans" I am not saying the M wagon wont be amazing, but just not my style nor do I have 100K.

Won’t happen… only a few years left of the G8X… Neue Klasse maybe if G99 is successful.

Sounds like this M5 Touring will be heavy enough to do Section 179?

What's the weight requirement for that? At least 6,000 lbs?

If it does qualify for that would help sales. I think it needs to be a ‘suv’ tho.

Not to worry! Just tell the IRS that it identifies as a SUV. Problem solved!

I think it just has to be over 6000 lbs. It just happens that there are not any cars over that weight, at least not yet.
