And the M5 will also drop like a rock.
You’d still be buried in one the question is do you want to own the car or do you want the car to own you?

I’d lease the M5 as well it’s just smarter

I don’t see any reason why it would not

A V8 5,300 pound beast of a car will qualify for an EV credit intended to save the planet. Nobody will turn down the money. But seriously. These are our taxes at work?

2. I never liked how the M8 looks. The profile is too similar to a Ford Mustang.

3. I also do not like the interior. The console and dash are far more claustrophobic than the F90.

4. I do not like the Gran Coupe as an automotive segment. If I want a sedan then I will buy a sedan that has a useful back seat. Otherwise, get a coupe. I don't need a car that tries to be both while being great at neither.

I ended up buying a 2023 R8 and leasing a 2023 S8.
Finally someone noticed how claustrophobic the M8 feels inside, with the extreme rake of the windshield, height of the center console and dash, it feels like a bunker. AMG GT's are very similar in this regard.

Only if you lease, there is a loophole that allows it, if the manufacterer will pass it though (currently BMW does).

M5 looks like the new cash cow of BMW. $132K build is $3,750 a month for 36 mo lease with $0 down. Same price X5M is $2.2K a month, that's a difference close to $60K in 3 years. They will try to collect the money they lost from XM and the G70 with the first wave of M5 enthusiasts. I see value loss for the future though.

How are you coming up with 3750.00 a month.

that website estimate won't return remotely close numbers until rv, mf and incentives release. Throwing different numbers in Edmunds lease calculator will get one much closer.

I know all that already and I am not trying to get a number from an automated system. Those numbers give us an indication of how BMW places the car within their models and sets the pricing.

$3,750 x 36 = $135k. That makes no sense, even if the MF was relatively high.

BMW NA site has an error. At $130k MSRP the finance number is $2300 for 60 months at 3.34% and the lease number is $3600 at 10k mi/yr. Someone will eventually fix it.

I can think of at least two reasons… 1. Carbon trim pieces cost more to manufacture than the free trim options; and 2. So only the people choosing the more expensive trim pay for it instead of raising the base price for everyone.

BMW’s environmental extremists would rather you didn’t spec real natural leather at all. We’re lucky they still offer it.

Amazing how many here have already decided the audio system doesn’t sound good before ever hearing a single note played on it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I should hope so. Currently, it shows what BMW execs dream about making from the car.

Wtf?!?! 3600/mo?! That is insane! My ‘22 G82 msrp was 89k , I put down 5k , 10k per year and my payment is $1014/mo. Why is this over three times per month more to lease 40k more? I understand inflation , etc but who on earth would pay that much?!

This has to be an error.

The sticker price on my 2023 S8 was nearly $140k and my lease payment is $1900 a month for a 3/36.

There is obviously an error on the site, but please keep in mind interest rates have more than doubled since most of us either leased or financed a car, so monthly lease payments on a G90 M5 are going to be much higher than expected.
