While I suspect you are probably right, I also suspect the cross section of buyers will be different. BMW M cars were always about a precise and rewarding driving experience. This new car’s approach looks to be more about “beating the road into submission”, a comment often reserved for their competitors, instead of dancing through corners.

Numbers sold will be easy to track in the U.K. with the website how many left. There is however a delay in the reporting of figures so it’ll be a while yet but the figures will at least be there broken down in to each quarter of the year

I am no fan of the G60, but brakes glow on hard lapping all the time.

Looks like an M5, but does not sound or even drive like one.

So i’m confused the only way to get the full 718 horsepower is to charge the battery correct? so if the battery is dead and your using only the ICE you only get 577 horsepower?

That car sounds like a yeast infection. I’ll never look at a BMW again. I’m throwing mine away because I feel so backstabbed that BMW is staying current with the times and trends. It’s not fair!! Why can’t they build a E36 M3 again?!? (All sarcasm for those that don’t get it).

Here’s a comparison to the F90 when they were testing back in the 2017-2018. Tire still squeal for sure, but dynamically a lot less sign of an understeer. (And less tire screaming lol) Certain corners you can see F90’s front rotates pretty well upon input. There’s no question about it that on the track F90 was probably the peak. I’ve already needed to replace the tires on my F90 after 10-12k ish miles, the G90 would only last like 7-8k miles now…?

that's one of my thoughts as all of these new vehicles get heavier and heavier, the way I drive would increase maintenance needs. Probably have you buying new brakes at each fluid flush and tires at every oil change...good for BMW's bank account though.
