I was looking for a uncomplicated, comfortable easy wear watch for the times I did not feel like wearing the weight and size of my chronographs. I just could not go past this from the Formula 1 range. This model with the brush metal bezel does not come with the rubber strap but only the steel bracelet. While that is nice, I liked the idea of adding the rubber strap so I could switch between the two for a different look when I felt like it. What a great decision. It is a genuine TAG strap offered as an alternative to other similar 41 mm case-sized F1 watches in the range. The quality is as high as you expect and the fit is perfect. I love it so much, I have not switched back to the metal bracelet since fitting the rubber one.

I just got this 2001 TH Cal 36 two weeks ago, the Zenith EP movement is so great.
And I like the cushion shaped 30's case, but I know it's not everybody's choice.

Cheers

Need help deciding

Looks like my wife has decided to buy me a watch for my 50th. I already have a Rolex Andy a Tag Heuer, but have my eyes one one of these two:

Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 16

https://www.tagheuer.com/en/watches/...-cv2a1s-ba0799

And Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887

Besides the movement and the fact that Calibre 16 has both a date an day, in stead of just day, is there any other differences?
Thanks

I was hoping to locate the new Formula 1 Gulf Edition watch, would anybody have any info on when this watch will be available?

I see a little Breguet and Blancpain in your watch - you know how to choose.

This was my first "fancy" watch. My wife surprised me with it after I finished grad school. I've since added a Panerai and plan to get a BLBR GMT...

Except for the minor differences in the markings and rotating bezel, it looks identical to my Aquaracer.

Once for this issue ok but a second time for a fine watch that is the 4th biggest purchase I've made in my life is not ok.

I've also had some issues with the pin backing out of the band...
I have had same issue with mine. 2hr gains daily. I stopped wearing it and is now rotting in my dresser somewhere.

In order to keep my other watches in a little better condition with less wrist time I thought I'd buy a less expensive fun summer watch. I've always loved the Gulf Monza but it's big and defeats the purpose of a cheaper summer watch.

This one fit the bill for me

After checking with my regular AD who didn't have one, I went to a nearby mall to see if any mid level jewelry stores or Macy's had one. I walked into Littman's of all places and there was one in the back of the case. They just got it that day and put it out an hour earlier. And it turns out that they discount Tag Heuer

I thought I was going to either hunt high and low or wait for it. I felt really lucky that day.

Good luck finding one, they're out there!
