If BMW puts all their eggs in the electric basket I wish them good luck and Auf wiedersehen.
I will buy whatever ICE will be available out there.

No one buys a diesel for "fun to drive" is fun to watch the DTE and tank distance though. You cannot compare a 4 banging diesel with BMW's bread and butter i6...

The future is electric. Get over it. Embrace the future!
But can your "tesla" take you from Toronto ON to Charlotte NC in one charge? Can you "charge" your car for 10 mins (time it takes me to fill my tank) and drive another 1200KM?

I remember going into the Tesla dealer and they looked at my car and said you obviously like your fast cars but our car is much faster. I said I'll race you to a place about 700km away....they didn't like that much

It's certainly very well done, except the bit you are referencing which I felt was just for extra 'sensation'.

The cheats VW was up to led to real world emissions of towards 40x what is seen in the lab. The program clearly says that they expect real world to be up to 5 or 6x the lab.

So you've fallen for that verbal trick with the '400% to 500%" line. That just means "4 or 5x". That was no accident by the Dirty Money writers.

PHEV are the way to go.
No range anxiety as with an all electric.
Right now infrastructure is not there and it still takes to long to charge.
I have a hyundai Ioniq PHEV,
Prolly how I can afford a BMW.
Hehehehe
