This is as dumb as saying there's 0 reason to buy anything better than a 3-year old Honda Accord.

Funny you say that. I have AT&T, and my wife and I only get one bar inside our house. Calls need to be made over wifi otherwise it's nearly impossible to have a conversation with someone.

Another thing I realized is this app (Bimmerpost) used to have a hard time loading around the house and with this 11pro, it's been perfect.

for the other bright 95%, they realize the hardware has significantly outpaced the sw at this time and no new ios or sw can even take advantage of the A11 processor for full capability... if your phone is running slow, then do a wipe and reinstall apps... done, bingo $999 saved

Played my first round of golf today with the 11 Pro. Battery definitely lasted longer than my Xs, and I was streaming football on SIRIUS (an unusual occurrence) in the background while using Golfshot app for scoring and course management. Battery life is now a total non issue even during the longest 18-hole rounds.
The other improvement over my Xs is screen brightness. The 11 Pro screen's enhanced horsepower is very evident while using the device in bright sunlight. IMO this is a substantial benefit that should be considered when comparing an 11 Pro to a 'regular' 11. This is a untouched image I captured at the first tee. Not sure if it really shows much considering the site compression.

We were honestly trained to ask customers, such as yourself: "Do you really need your cell phone to work inside your home? Do you have a land line? Let me tell you about AT&T's Uverse. This was 2008-2010. Most people had just disconnected their land line service to save money because with a cell, who needs a home phone......AT&T customers do, that's who. |

Back then, I called TMO and they told me to turn on WiFi calling and sent me the best router available at the time. That router is still working today. ATT couldn't care less, even though I'd been with them for over 10 years (prior to moving to this house). That was reason enough for switching. Yeah, ATT has better cell coverage outside the house, but I put up with TMO's spotty coverage because they have better customer service. Not perfect, but better than ATT. |

Got the new X connected by simply picking my son's old phone from the sprint page, then typing in the EMID. THAT was simple.
Then I had the instructions to transfer his old phone to the new. It kept trying to connect to MY phone. Finally, after installing OS13 (really, I have to put 13 on a brand new phone???) and rebooting both, that magic spirally image showed up and the 2 phones mated. MAYBE 3 minutes later and everything was on the new phone, like the magic I would expect! Now the battle begins to get the screen protector installed . . . |

I'll be keeping my iphone X. I really see no reason to "upgrade" to the 11 or 11 pro. Pictures on my phone are more than adequate already.
What I am looking forward to is ios 13 for the ipad pro! |

I had heard this but whatever they are calling it, my iPad Pro has been updated and it shows 13.1.1. Not sure if this is PadOS yet or not.

Just upgraded from iPhone 7.
It's a learning curve, but basically an IPhone. I'm the cameras and editing it extraordinary. If you wake pics and want the best camera option, it's a good gig. If you don't care about photos, keep what you have. It's the same thing. |

My iPhone 6S died after many years of service and I got an iPhone 11 yesterday (not the Pro). It is quicker. It is bigger. But better? Not sure, but it is a nice phone and I like the lack of home button better than the horrible home button on my work iPhone 7. This would not be a good enough reason to lay out another 800 notes though

Same thing as what? The 11 Pro isn't even the "same thing" as my Xs.

After going back and forth, I broke down and got an 11 for myself and one for my wife to avoid replacing the rapidly deteriorating battery in my 6S that will likely no longer get iOS updates in a year. It was a PITA to buy but I'll spare everyone those details.
I like the bigger screen when looking at it and definitely like the much better battery, but really dislike the heavier, larger phone when carrying it in my pocket. Also still not used to losing the home button but suppose I will get used to it over time. I do like the Face ID. The better camera is of moderate interest and it is faster but within about a day I no longer notice the faster processor and it is just the new normal. For me the extra $$$ for the 11 Pro didn't make sense. I notice zero difference in call signal in my house (as someone else reported). It still sucks. Hopefully I can get 4 years out of these like the 6S's. I won't have much of an appetite for another one for quite a while now, regardless of how quickly or slowly 5G rolls out or any other new feature added to the next generations.
