Keep in mind Bongo-mate , the RB16B was never faster before and very reliable !
Red Bull already started to fine-tune today . They laid the foundation of the *B with a victory from MAX last year in Abu Dhabi .
MAX drove very relaxed the Mercs out of sight !

During the winter break , HONDA found even more extra power and a new gearbox to handle the extra power coming from the HONDA PU !
A new gearbox was really required !

That's what Mercedes didn't . The Mercedes gearbox can't handle the extra power from their PU !
Same issues for the "GREEN" Mercedes . The rear of the Mercedes runs like a ballerina over the track !
That's why Sir7ewis transformed the W12 spaceship is a funny gravel machine !
The W12 is unpredictable and looks to 2 big issues !
1- The gearbox
2- The new W12 aero in general really s@cks and is very sensitive to side wind !

Obviously you have forgotten about the 2017 car, also know as, The Diva.

Not-then-Sir Lewis, trounced a faster car with it. 2017 was in the bag for Fezza and Not-then-Sir Lewis came back and kicked their butts.

Don't let this test tell you anything but the following, "The cars will run well enough to finish the race." Until Q3, nothing is known unless it's a 2009 Brawn GP situation.

Following yco's lead and trying to bring the thread back to its topic, here are some of my takeaways from this year's testing
- I cant figure out if Merc is sandbagging, or if they truly arent on the pace of RBR right now. I am leaning towards them not being able to keep up entirely.
- It seems like Merc has been impacted by this floor change more than others. Last year the car was completely on rails around most corners. This year, I see a lot more rear end hesitation. We will see if they can sort it out in 2 weeks time.
- Perez looks good in the RBR team
- McLaren is looking really good, I think they have closed the gap again
- Their drivers numbers at 3, and 4 and I think there is a decent chance that is where they finish in the Drivers Championship
- I decided I dont like the Williams livery
- In a 3 day only test its very stupid to give one complete day to a test driver
- I dislike both Alpine drivers' attitudes
- The AMR is more off the pace than I expected
- RBR looks fast

It’s a little disappointing seeing Merc on the back foot when they likely started working on their car long before other teams started. But you can never count them out. They’re sure to figure out their issues very quickly.

Mclaren is exactly where I predicted they would be. Reminds me of when Alonso had said they have the best designed car on the grid, but not the engine to keep up with the other teams. I’m expecting to see some brilliant battles now that they have Merc power.

RBR off to a good start. I still think Perez will outscore Max. Max will inevitably make mistakes.

i guess Merc' was sandbagging on engine part but there were some problems aero wise for sure.. cause Lewis was lapping quite slow on straights most of the time..

I can’t imagine anybody had their PU’s properly turned up. Maybe on the high fuel runs. But on low fuel, may Merc turned it down more than others.

I'm not sure if you know this ?
Mercedes had to fill their fuel tank completely . To get more weight (max weight) in the rear of the car !
By doing this the balance issue in the rear was *temporarily fixed ...Only like this they could push the car !
Hopefully they can fix it ASAP ...Because I want to see a fair fight of HAM vs MAX .

Honestly I didn't (never) expected to see Merc struggling like this !

From MAX : Every single detail looks and feels very positive ..I'm ready for it !
