Hmm, that's an interesting take. Personally, many snacks I liked have turned for the worse. I actually can't remember one childhood snack that I had which stayed the same quality. It's sad, really.

How were they, OP?
I haven't noticed the quality change so much, but I don't eat many snacks. More so the the ever increasing price matched with smaller quantities.

Smaller quantities of the product, yes. But you get extra air in the bag(s) of chips nowadays.

Oh, it's awful, all my fave chocolates have turned to crap, e.g. Maltesers, Kit Kat...endless list. It's very obvious the taste changed for the worse for those.

Potato chip bags are getting smaller:

And confirmed cases of shrinking products at grocery stores have been popping up all over. For instance, if you buy a bag of Doritos, expect about five fewer chips. Frito-Lay reportedly confirmed that they dropped the weight of bags from 9.75 ounces to 9.25 ounces. Mar 14, 2022

I know this is going to make me sound like a snob, but if I typically want a treat like this.....I buy a good bar of nice dark chocolate with to go with a nice dry Cab, or a pint of Ben & Jerry's.

The only gas station guilty pleasure is Snickers Ice Cream Bars. I can destroy a box of those.

Oh, no sweat, I used to exclusively buy Godiva, LGB, Cova, Royce and Haagen Dazs in HK (they have numerous standalone stores). I'm just talking about reg chocolate fare here so the reg folk here can relate.

Pass me the Grey Poupon.

I never did come around to finishing the bag of Funyuns.

Ironically however - my daughter loves them. And she's a very picky eater. Now she requests me to put a bunch in a little sandwich bag for her school snack.

Currently this is my addiction:

Proud of myself from staying away from this crack -- my biggest chip craving.
