It feels a little more realistic in this game though.
Forza 2's drifting felt a little too Crisco-esque if you can picture that. I already realize that I'm going to be giving up way too many hours of my life when this game comes out.

If you go even a little off track it will not count your laptime. In exclamation point logo (inside of a triangle) appears next to your time if you went too far off track, touched something, etc.

Ok, so I've played the demo, and here are some impressions:
Graphics: Very good graphics, I'd say 8.5/10 however, compared to granturismo....it doesn't look that stellar. I guess I was expecting superbly realistic looking graphics...I might even bump it up to a 9/10. On the 360...some edges are slightly jagged (no AA) Amazing environment! I was simply speechless. Sound: Ofcourse, the sound is always good. I mean, I was using a basic 2.1 system, so I'm not sure how well the surround is now. Gameplay: I think the game mechanics are rock solid with this one too. I was SO relieved to play forza after NFS:shift (which has TERRIBLE handling). Now, it's probably me getting used to the controller after a long time, but I felt as though the steering was way too sensitive sometimes....I wish I had a steering wheel Anyhow, overall, I MUST play more! |

I'm currently the highest bidder. With the game included a month before release? And the money is all going to charity. I'm willing to spend the extra dough for a model, a month of game time, and a good cause.

You won't get the game any earlier than the street date.

MVPs are getting early copies of FM3, I heard they were getting them as early as this or next week.

Maybe it's because I was playing with a controller, but I couldn't find this realism everybody keeps talking about...Yes the graphics are fantastic, yes the clutch-manual option is nifty, but the physics feel way off. It's like the cars are on rails- how is my Mini capable taking hairpins at 50mph? It feels way more arcade than sim. Maybe I just need to get a steering wheel?
My experience with GT5 prologue suggests that it is the more realistic game in terms of driving dynamics. Granted, I played that game with a steering wheel, but nevertheless. Just my opinion, please don't flame. |

You guys are lucky I stopped bidding. I would've raised hell with ebay because nowhere on the listing does it say you have to wait for the game. I would consider editing your listing for your own sake.
And guardian, I got outbid. Sorry, but even sending all the money to charity doesn't make the game worth ~$1000 in my eyes. |

It would have sucked for me if we didn't have a member who worked for the game people. I would have justified it somehow.

A $40 premium for 30 days of gaming wouldn't be too bad. Especially with the model which I didn't really care for, but it would be a neat memento.
But now that I found out you don't get the game early, fuck that! Btw, the bid is at $1035 with almost 48 hours to go. |
