As of right now, based upon the current poll results you are alienating about 1/3 of your potential future buyers.

Personally, I've got nothing invested here. You do.

Which is what great debates/arguments/etc are all about.
According to the current poll results, you are alienating about 1/3 of your future potential customers.

You are focusing on "winning" some debate against me, as if nobody will see this entire exchange in the future and see it as entirely too childish to ever get involved with a deal with you. Do you think buyers in the future will want to risk getting involved with another thread like this with you?

Your "friends" here aren't helping you by pumping up the drama.

I would definitely close it if I were you, as a purely economic decision.

' purely economic decision"

you're talking about doing business with me... when... i don't do business here... i sell something here and there that may not be needed etc...
and what, maybe once a week? more? less?
I make more in a day then i have ever made off this forum.. because I don't work or live off this forum.. this forum actually COSTS me more lol.
reading about tunes, DPs, FMIC, etc... made me want them and buy them all..lol

i think my iTrader feedback, and the prices, and the PRODUCTs alone will sell.

If a person wants item X, they'll take it... we've seen a lot of scamming on this forum... and well, it ain't pretty
at least people will know i don't not ship items and whatnot :P

and a guy with so few posts and activity.. versus people who have been here for months and years with 100s and 1000s of posts...
yeah..

nonetheless, I still do respect your opinions. in reality, we could probably be friends.

That is a great question! Don't you think it would be a good idea to find out the answer to that question right off the bat in this situation?

I'm sure we could be friends. And as a friend I would tell you not to get sucked in by the loudmouths in the crowd. In stock terms, be a contrarian.

As a friend I would advise you that just because all the investors around you are chasing a stock up, you shouldn't just automatically jump on board. Look at your own personal investment downsides (that they aren't looking at) and make your own decision.

I have some yeah and they're fine... and NO one has ever complained

I rarely sell on the board to people not local... most are people i see at meets who want them and i order it for them

Yeah, don't chase the bear...
I always advise people to only invest the money that if they lost it, it wouldn't significantly affect their lifestyle (like, if you pay 10k a month, with 5k expenses, you're 'safe' to invest 2k a month; but if you only make 2k a month.. with 1800 expenses... kind of hard to really get into stocks...)

Are these guys serious right now? I used to be a small vendor on another forum I can show you 3 different aftermarket pedals that are all the same size. These are the same aftermarket and dead pedals that go on our cars. The dead pedal, is yes, about an inch short. So what? How is it a crime that suddenly you're trying to hook someone up and the schemes for these pedals don't change. If this guy isnt happy with what hes got he's not going to be happy with any other pedals the vendors are selling on this board. Again I would like to reiterate how his incompetence is to blame.

I guess next time you won't be able to say "NO one has ever complained" because someone has now -- your buyer. Too bad you didn't take advantage of the opportunity to have him shoot you a picture so you would actually know for next time.

It really isn't that important if 43 other folks didn't have a problem with anything you are selling, if you aren't proactive enough to get to the bottom when someone actually does have a complaint.

He put BOTH the drilling and the dead pedal length in the initial email. If he has a legitimate complaint about the dead pedal, the issue about the drilling is irrelevant. A dead pedal that doesn't fit THE BUYER'S car (anyone else's car is irrelevant) would have been sufficient enough for me to immediately refund without going through all this stuff in this thread.

I've done my best to explain to you the contrarian viewpoint that is opposite from what the masses are telling you. I can't make you think for yourself, so follow the bear if you must.

I'm actually done with what I've been doing in RL that left me bored and wandering around O/T. So good luck to you.

If I tell someone something will fit, I'm not going to turn around and blame THEM for not doing their research when I was the one who told them it was going to fit. I would stand behind my word and not try to point fingers when I was wrong.

Go back and read the very first email that persian54 posted from the buyer. The buyer's first email was polite and respectful. If it were my deal, I would have taken care of the issue then and there before things got ugly. He didn't, and BOTH sides got rude and disrespectful. For me it wouldn't be an issue of "helping" the buyer, it would be an issue of standing behind my own word when the dead pedal I said would fit comes up an inch short.

To be 100% clear, based upon this thread, I wouldn't do a deal with the buyer any more than I would do a deal with the seller if I had a chance. Wouldn't do deals with half the folks posting to this thread either. But that's just my own preferences as to who I would trust with my own money. YMMV
I still think Zack is the one who is in the wrong. OP just said no refunds because Zack didn't research. We can verify the dead pedal fitmen issue a little later when someone comes in with more info, but main reason Zack backed out of the purchase was because he didn't want to drill. IIRC he posted in the last day or two in a random thread saying he didn't want to drill.

refund the money but keep the shipping costs... so if it cost you like $10 to ship the thing, just refund $50... there's nothing he can do bout it cos he sent you the money as a 'gift' (he's an idiot for doing that)... he can contact paypal and he still wont be able to get the money back. just tell him to take it or leave it... there's nothing paypal would do to help him.

oh and to the buyer -- next time do your bloody research before you buy stuff !! he's probably the type of person who goes to home depot to buy a hose and then returns it the next day cos it doesnt fit -- and wants home depot to pay for his tank of gas.

fwiw, the BMW Performance pedals require drilling and the dead pedal is an inch short...

i wouldn't feel comfortable stabbing at my brakes in an emergency situation if the pedal wasn't screwed down, but maybe that's just me.
