I bought another Glock G20 10mm today, Gen 4, strictly for carry.

$485 at Cheaperthandirt.com, they have a Glock instant rebate going for some of their in stock Glocks, $100 off. It ends on the fifth.

any time i carry something 'less' i always think, 'if i needed it, i would really wish i had my 1911' so i just carry the 1911

any problem that i can solve with a pistol, i can solve more efficiently with a 1911

There are a few reasons I don't carry a 1911 but one of the main reasons is that if I ever, God forbid, have to use it to defend myself; justified or not the weapon used will be confiscated for a period of time and likely be stored in a way that could be damaging. I have zero emotional ties to any Glock and any Glock is a fraction of the the expense to replace compared to my 1911s.

One of the guys who works at the local gun shop had to use his Custom carry 1911 to defend himself. I believe he was shot in the process and blood ended up on the pistol at the time the police confiscated it. Once it was determined he wouldn't be charged it was somewhat lengthy process to get his gun back. When he did, it was ruined from the blood and method of storage. Rest of the gun shop employees chipped in to buy him another. Ive got good friends, but they likely won't do the same for me.

Have a Sig Sauer P320 compact Romeo1 on order for 4 weeks now.
Hearing the word on the street is they are hitting the store shelves
This is going to be my first "optics" on any firearm.
Anyone rocking optics on a pistol? How you like it?

I have both and do carry it, its a 5", but i much prefer dropping the LCP in my pocket and having it vanish. My wallet is bigger and the same weight. And in a suit with a tucked in shirt, i don't need to wear the jacket all the time. Big bonus in Florida.

Try coughing and sneezing in their direction. Biological weapons are more effective.

Maybe he can get some batman smoke versions and evade them until the cops arrive with...firearms. Lol. I'll stick to flying lead. Better than chucking rocks.

Tactical rocks are most effective and require the most skill. Have a handful, do a 360 and you can take out multiple targets.

I subscribe to this approach. I can build out a Springfield XDs and not exceed my mental EDC limit of $1k.
