Halo Reach on PC. Haven't touched a Halo game since 2012, so to finally be able to play again (in 1440p at 120+ fps) is amazing. Just been piddling on the story mode for now, but it brings back so many memories.

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC.

This game is quite demanding but does it ever have some eye candy. Just doing story mode until I figure it out and do stuff in online mode.

Seems pretty good so far.

I immediately start hearing the song in my head whenever I read "Halo"

First time I fired it up on my PC and heard those glorious vocals, I legitimately got chills.

Am still playing GTA4, but I'm itching to go back to Just Cause 2, that game is a total riot to play!

Nah, scratch Just Cause. I'm going to continue Saints Row 2, which is just as much of a riot.

Finally beat the star wars game. Was pretty good for a single player. Has a tomb raider/uncharted feel to it. Graphics and frame rates were amazing with very little frame drops.

Got my Google Stadia controllers in the mail the other day. Been playing Grid and NBA2K20 with my son. Its been pretty great. I havent really been a "gamer" in many years, we do not even own any game systems. But the easy entry using Google Stadia with a Chromecast Ultra is pretty spectacular.

Any VR players here? Boneworks is excellent, so much fun to be able to actually ADS on a gun and it actually hit where the sights are aimed. Plus full physics, it's great. Slowly getting over my spells of motion sickness from walking around and jumping in the game.

I bought an Oculus Quest for Christmas and also purchased Boneworks but haven't set up the software to stream it to the headset yet. What headset do you have? What other games have you been playing?

I've been playing the popular Oculus games, SuperHOT is freaking awesome, I played it on the PC but IMHO it was made to be played in VR. Robo Recall is a decent shooter, as well as Espire V1 as a stealth shooter.

Have you played any good adventure style games? I play tons of shooters on the PC but am looking for more story driven adventure style puzzlers. I just got Obduction (from the makers of Myst) and it's a trip.

I have the Quest as well. Just snagged a 10ft USB 3.0 cable off Amazon for like $15 and it works perfectly. Other than Boneworks, I have the Vader Immortal games (essential if you're a Star Wars nerd), and modded Beat Saber (for custom songs). As for other games, I like Red Matter on the Oculus store; it's not necessarily an adventure game, but it's definitely a puzzle game, I like it. Now that I have the cable tho, there are endless possibilities. I plan on snagging Skyrim VR here soon, would love to fight a dragon in VR.

Yeah I bought a cable to use link as well, as nice as it is being able to use the set wirelessly the graphics when playing (wired) Rift games are just so much nicer. I bought the Quest version of Red Matter but haven't played it yet, looking more forward to it now. I've played about half of Vader Immortal, it's neat but I'm not a Star Wars fanatic. You have to play Superhot if you haven't already, it's like you're in the matrix.

I thought I had typed it, meant to. Awesome game. Story was a bit short, but the challenges and wave missions are super fun. They made insane money the week following Christmas, $2 million + if I'm not mistaken.

Been loving RDR2 on PS4 pro. Such a good game. Spent a few hours getting the best horse in the game. Only one of them in the open world to catch apparently. Wasn't easy lol.

I got an Oculus for Christmas and didn't enjoy it too much. I sold it, got a Switch with BOTW. That was great!

I bought HP Reverb a couple of days ago and I have somewhat mixed feelings, but overall positive ones.

The biggest "wow moment" was when I sat in the cockpit of HS-129 tank destroyer plane (part of IL2-Sturmovik WW2 flight simulator). And I literally mean "sat in the cockpit" because the experience felt so real that I became convinced I can reach out and touch the gauges. It completely blew me away, as I didn't expect that current VR technology can bridge the reality gap so convincingly and so vividly.

However the view outside the aircraft window only amplified primitive ground graphics of IL2 because everything in VR gets enlarged to scale 1-to-1 (so it can feel real), and that unfortunately applies to graphics flaws and deficiencies as well. So I am keeping my eye out for DCS Normandy map, as it features higher fidelity levels than IL2 maps.

Also, I am getting motion sickness when flying in IL2 VR, especially in late-war ultra fast and maneuverable fighters like Tempest and FW190A-8. I hope I can eventually overcome this, as it is slightly better after a few days. It may be a personal thing because I am generally sensitive to sensation of flight, which gets not only recreated by amplified in VR so convincingly.
