Thanks, I'm pleased. The case is a little smaller then I'm used to, but the watch is worth getting used to that for.
The one thing the pictures don't really show is how much depth there is to the movement. if you look at the 3 pronged second indicator over the skeletonized part, you can see the rod that it's attached to, which sort of gives you an idea of how far in all those gears are. I just swapped a dark brown band onto it to give it more of a retro styling, I felt it would compliment the fairly mono toned face a little better. |

This was a quick wrist shot I took, it wasn't sized properly yet, I just had to get it on.
Keep in mind, I have a pretty big wrist as well. And yes.... I have a lot of freckles too... |

That watch is really cool. Is it a tourbillon? I can't tell from the pics. A lot of watches have similar openings on the faces.

I've seen different websites list the tourbillons and non tourbillons incorrectly but the Zenith tourbillon in the el primero is actually one of the more affordable ones at around $35,000 (beyond what I'm willing to pay, I'm was happy with a 600$ chinese one) it's nice looking. It's nice, but it's not to die for. ^^^that one could be a concept or a different one then I'm thinking for the 35k one, but it gives you an idea either way. |

depends what you're going for. I personally am not the biggest Tag fan (though I own one) Their stuff just isn't "timeless" So if you want a watch that will be good for 5ish years, the tag will look good, but if you want a watch that will still look good in 25 years, get the Rolex.
the Rolex will also keep a lot of value, and in some cases can go up in value. You won't get that with a Tag. |

I do agree with your statement though, regardless. The Rolex is definitely more of a 'historic' time piece and it holds it's value amazingly. The Tag Link Auto that I have is a almost four years old and there is already a completely new model out. |

I think the Link can still fetch decent money used at the moment though, seems to have a good following. Do you feel really conspicuous when wearing a Rolex? That's my main fear about getting one, I like the new Explorer II, but the fact that it's a high profile watch will really hold me back. Interestingly, the new watch design isn't as classic. But I think that's what I like about it. |

I like the GMT Master II because it is a bit less 'Rolex.' Most people seem to be unable to tell whether a watch is Rolex or not if they don't really know anything about watches anyways. But the GMT isn't just another Submariner on the streets, definitely looks different and fits my personality. I love travel and what not, although the Daytona is the driver's watch and something I hope I can afford when I'm making my own money and not just taking gifts from my parents. |

Any of you guys buy your watches online or strictly from a jeweler? I'm thinking of buying this or this for myself for my 40th. Previous purchases we've made have been through the jewelers. If I can save some $$$ from a reputable online source, that'd be great.

You definitely save money and the watch is 100% authentic, but it is grey market. The warranty will be through the website, NOT Tag Heuer if I'm not mistaken. Regardless, for proper cleaning and fixing and whatnot, I think you can still send the watch to Tag Heuer because you will have the official serial # etc of the watch, but you may have to pay... |

Stay away from that place. Do some research and you will see the reviews are terrible. No thanks.

^Beautiful watch. I love Breitling time pieces
Btw, has anyone heard of Cabestan watches? One of my friends at school was telling me about them. They are European made and her father is one of the hand crafters. I suppose their are similar to Audemars Piguet and Patek Phillipe, yet they only make about 50 watches a year. They do have an amazing Ferrari watch though, made with Ferrari leather (like the Vertu phones) |
