Local AD in Denver? My wife put her name on the list for a 36mm Wimbledon a few weeks ago (Ben Bridge in Cherry Creek), but they said there were a few people ahead of her for that watch and they hadn't gotten any Wimbledon's in stock in months.

Yup Williams Jewelry down in Englewood, another AD in the area. I also had my name down in Cherry Creek but they didn't seem as keen. I can put you in direct contact with a rep at Williams if interested.

If you're in Denver, I'd *really* recommend reaching out to Carolyn at Williams Jewelers in Littleton (corner of Bellevue & Broadway).

I got both my Sub (no-date) and my wife's green OP36 with no deposit from her with minimal waiting. They don't normally have anything except "exhibition" watches on display (which is the new normal, I guess), but last time I was in there, they had a fair number of them-- which helped to at least see what the piece you're considering looks like.

And Carolyn? She's just EXCELLENT.

(Which reminds me-- I have to stop by to see her and get "on the list" for a blue OP41 and/or the new Air King.)

Rolex Daytona and Roles Submariner are my two fave Rolex models as well. Rolex Submariner edges the Daytona in my case .

tried on platinum daytona when it wasn't selling and just sitting in the display case
back in 2018ish

i have a confession to make
that sub in the photo is a fake
a friend bought it while he's waiting for the call from the AD for a real one

i don't have much handling time with the sub so it looks and feels like the real deal to me
i posted it on Reddit and most people didn't catch it either but two people called it out just based on this same photo

this is why it's important to really know who you're buying from
and have a way to verify authenticity if you do buy outside of the AD network

Yup need to watch out for the super fakes. Some people are okay with buying fake ones, and more power to them. But I will never buy a fake one.

I was able to upgrade from an OP to Sub to Day-Date because they were authentic watches. If I had a fake, I would just be sitting on paper weight.

Here's hoping all the other models come back down to earth too. Makes me sick hearing from all the ADs that it's impossible to get the Sub I want, yet I see tons of resellers trying to profit with a 70% markup on it.
