That said, I am considering getting the new GT350, but definitely not as a Viper replacement (LOL at that thought), but more as a middle car between my DD Macan Turbo and my Viper. I think a GT350 will slot itself perfectly between those two cars. As they say, different strokes....

Around 8 tracks in the US, it is indeed. (holds the production car record).

In a straight line, a Viper TA recently trapped 132mph, bone stock, in 900' D/A. The only other regular production bone stock car that has gone faster in a 1/4 mile was a record run by a ZR1 in -1,000' D/A (considering the D/A advantage, if both cars were at the same track, same day, I think the Viper would have been faster).
The next fastest American car in a 1/4 mile ('regular production' - Hennessy Venoms aren't part of this discussion), is a 662 hp 2013 GT500 that trapped than 128. Modified cars are another discussion, since anything can be modified. Point is, Vipers are not only the fastest around tracks, but also essentially tied for 1st with C6 ZR1s as the fastest American cars in a straight line.

Viper is an american exotic and deserves a premium. Not as much as they used to be priced but I think current pricing is fair enough.
Stingray can bve had for ~$60k brand new. Viper has no such entry level. Its either all or nothing which is what makes it more unique. Same argument about how audi shares similar platforms with vw, bmw has no such sharing... I think the current gen viper hit it out fo the park. Performance, quality interior, exterior design, it hits all the right notes with me. For now however, just a dream... |

I'm selling my rare Gen IV 2008 Viper. I have too many Vipers and need to make room for another one. It is in showroom condition. Let me know if you're interested.

FYI, I've posted my Gen IV in the classifieds. While the Gen V is great, there really is no car like the Gen IV and will never be one again (the law won't allow it).

This is too funny. Viper beat Z06 stock to stock period... accept it.

I think the cars will be extremely close around a road course, with the advantage going to the Vipers on similar tires as the Z07 package gets. But the Z06 needs to stop overheating after 4 laps before it can be considered a legitimate road course car. The Viper doesn't have that problem. It's a world-class track car from the factory, unlike like the Z06.
