Legs: I would do plyometric jumps, stair climbs like at a college stadium and sprints to supplement lifting. I got some advice and work out programs from the speed and conditioning coach that is now at Oregon Ducks football. Good stuff as it produced explosive power. That was a long time ago...... |

As a background information needed to understand any of this: Someone has told my mom it is so, she thinks it is so. My dad didn't give a shit about cars, he was into motorbikes and growing his own potatoes. My family is and was extremely highly educated and by northern european standards well off one. Potatoes . Don't forget that keyword. My parents were weird. My mom liked showing off that she has money by buying extremely ugly shirts and shoes. My dad was thought by exterior to be a homeless. I was in the crossfire since everybody knew what my family had (finland is small) and I was well known since early age for two things. I could push a car my mom backed out to my dad's potato field back to the road (a driveway. In their own fucking yard. ) better than anyone. I have indeed cried for losing the best car ever (to push), an opel cadet. I indeed see a life differently than anyone. So I remember this year clearly, it was 1998. My dad took my beloved opel (note that I couldn't drive it legally now did I want to then, now, or ever.) for a service. He came back with an Citroën Xara, since he thought us kids could use the space and our dog would love it. Our dog did love it. The thing broke down so often he had plenty of time to run around chasing after rabbits while I tried to figure out how to get the car moving. The first and last time my dad met my very serious ex was while I was pushing my dad's car away from traffic lights. He happened to be there amd helped me out, shook hands with my dad and told him we were dating. "oh no, we've been together for 3 years. She just prefers not introducing me to your wife, or anyone. Btw, I'm taking her to paris this weekend, but she'll tell you she's with saara. Without you blocking the intersection she would keep me as a secret forever". Citroën Xara. Safe sex lecture. From my dad. "anna. He drives a bmw, why not just tell me he doesn't est potatoes? And you're 18, I know you don't sleep in our house now you have since you were a lot younger but that dude was so pissed off with you. Meeting the scary dad isn't that bad.. "I want grandbabies. Make sure you want to have one before you are pregnant." So, that model handled. The Xara was a cheap car. For the life of me, I can not say hydraulic oil in Finnish. Hydrauliikkaöljy. I can't.it comes out wrong and I keep correcting myself and I get free oil. After army and a few side steps in my life, I was married to a man who still scares the fuck out of me daily. Our meet the future grandparents meet went like this. "no. I'll drive the kid around, if anna allows me. Your wife (my mom ) will never drive with kids in the seats. You apparently raced as a kiddo, but if any of us has known anna ever.. Citroën?" Soo. My kids grew and my dad took his year old car to a service "I'm sorry sir. It appears this car is caput" "call me a cab, I'll never buy anything my daughter doesn't approve again" "I ca give you a discount on our new Citroën C4 Picasso. She'll approve, it is the safest on the market!!" I am not even joking when I tell you that I spent 4months of my life hauling or trying to find my cross country enthusiast dad from the places his brand new, very safe car had died on him. He didn't like phones so he never had his with him, but the car died always. Always. When my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and after I went through his papers (which showed me he had 3 months tops to live) I couldn't take away the only thing he had left, which was going the walks with my kids and dogs (I admit following them there and going commando style hiding on them for every walk but I wanted my dad to have their time). So I did the next best things. I taught my kids (youngest was 10 months) how to dial 112 (911 in the usa) and say "*full name* my granddad has a citroen and my grandad collapsed". I knew he was dead and dying. I just tried to make sure one good thing would come of it. The kids loved him dad so Citroen killing him was a move beyond wise. After my mom decided to visit us in the usa in the catastrophic visit she did, she fell in love with peter. Let me remind you again, she has money and she holds a driving license in Finland. "I wanted something so easy too, I bought a C1." My mom keeps stating the French makes the best looking cars. Fine. That's subjective anyone blind can think that. One headlight took me 3 hours to change, and the issue was that their 2 year old car had fried all it's circuits. I have driven for at least 500 miles the French beauties in my life. I don't care if I marry or divorce a man that has no money. I don't care how others see me. Hell, I even understand that unlike most enthusiasts, my view in cars is extremely narrow. But try telling me that there is any beauty behind the rust of French cars.

I never cared about building my muscles for show... I typically just wanted them to work well.
Then again, now that I am getting older and fragile, show muscles start to appeal to me more and I don't care if they work well. I just don't want them to hurt, haha |

For another 8-12" gain, plyo is only gonna get me so far. I feel I need some heavy lifting. Vert was at 32" about 2 years ago when I did plyo. Haven't done shit ever since.
