If you value performance over luxury, the S4 will be a let down.

I came from an S4 and the only thing it has over the M performance wise if AWD.

Probably get flamed for this but I'm warming up to the new Mustangs. The more I see them, the more interested I become

If I would upgrade it has to be a P-car nothing else. Would love a 991 GT3 but I'll be happy with a Carrera.

I have BMW and Porsche, not sure what else I would trade them for. I have the 991 GT3 which is pretty much perfect, there's not much else out there like it so I'm kind of stuck with it. I have an X5M which doesn't really have an equal (the Cayenne Turbo S is twice as expensive and not nearly as nice), and an E92 M3.

I may trade the E92 for something else (newer), but I have no idea what. I tried a 2013 (or 2014? can't remember) C63 and didn't like it at all, maybe the newer ones are better. But still too expensive. Audis don't really interest me except the R8.

Yummmmmmm.

Oh, and a BIG Fuggin turbo, lol.

Tuners I have talked to have said get a MY12+. Low mileage they are around $60k right now. Couple years with a refresh and probable hybrid they are either going to drop horribly or never depreciate. My guess is the 1st. The R35 GTR is really showing its age. Technology has advanced and even us slow Americans are starting to figure it out.

I'll still be picking one up when they get cheaper and maybe an alpha package if they are still available by then, but by no means is it a replacement for an M3. Not comfortable at all. Performance only.

Had an A4 and S4. Honestly like my E92 328xi much better.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked but just last week I switched over from Mercedes to BMW. I've had 3 Mercedes and finally got sick of the repair costs and decided to switch over and get a 135i and I am very happy with my purchase so far 👌👌

Really depends on where I stand financially when my next purchase comes up (6yrs).
BUT it needs to be 2 door coupe, RWD, 6MT with plenty of power to put a grin on my face.
Right now it looks like it would be American (Vette, GT350) even though I've never bought a domestic car, but they're looking more appealing as time goes by.
Size and weight is a concern as well, but it doesn't look like cars will be going on a diet anytime in the near future.

If budget wouldn't be a matter and BMW wouldnt be an option I would buy for my wife a Macan GTS, Jag F-Pace or Maserati Levante S and for myself a Cayman GT4 (or GT3RS if it really wouldnt matter) and a RS6 or C63 as daily.

As budget is a matter in real life, my wife would get a laoded VW Tiguan R-Line (2016) to replace the F36 and I am actually looking to change my F22 for a Alfa 4C, Lotus of any kind or Porsche 997 or Cayman S.

In this boat right now. I like the Jaguar XE but I don't buy new cars and leasing is stupid for my situation as I drive roughly 30k miles with work. I've looked at EVERYTHING in the 3 and 5 Series category comparatively, and nothing does it for me. At least not in the used car price range I'm looking at, $30k-$40k out the door. The F30 335i is just where it's at. There's really nothing else on the market that gives the looks, performance and feel of this BMW. If I were out 3 years from now there would be a slew of cars with comparable everything to sway me including the XE 3.0 S, Merc C400-C450 and Cadillac ATSV. But for right now, the F30 is king.

If money was no object I'd do an F80 M3, C63 AMG sedan or ATSV. That boost bug is a must have in my life...
