I mean, definitely not the ugliest car in BMW's current lineup.

Looking forward to what the M2 turns out to be

Wow I really thought they would mess this one up but I really love it. Still very classic BMW and heavy influence from the 2002. If they make a manual M2 "2002 Turbo" edition with livery I may have to sell some essential organs. Hopefully the bum will be just as nice.

I despise the triangles. I want to buy the M2 but I really hope they make the triangle air vents look better for the full M version

I'm digging it. Definite retro vibes that aren't too over the top for my tastes.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Not bad! Way better direction IMO when compared to the G80/G82 front kidney grills. Like some have pointed out, the triangle lower inlets may need some TLC - if not the final rendering.

Overall 8/10 design!

I've never been a fan of Lexus and my distaste for the brand grew when they imbued their entire lineup with their current front end design. For whatever reason BMW has followed Lexus' horrendous lead as opposed to maintaining designs of understated elegance.

Agreed

Karim actually moved to Infiniti first, then to Kia just before Infiniti started sinking into the ocean

The backend of the new G 2 series has a Toyota Corolla look to it. Kinda cheap looking.

I love the design.
Way better than the current M3/M4.
Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

It's puzzling that the M Performance version maintains the Cerium Gray trim, despite the latest M Performance models (LCI X3/X4 M40i) seemingly having gotten rid of Cerium Gray in favor of classic chrome (making them more similar to the base X3M/X4M immediately above them in the lineup).

Also, while the M240i does get M2 goodies trickling down as well, it doesn't seem to be getting the frontal M badge, contrary to the early leak and contrary to the LCI X3/X4 M40i which did gain the M double slat grille with M grille badge.
