I gotta say watching this live is so much fun. The near collision with Hammy and I think Alonso happened near us at Beckett and Leclercs spin was near us.

Here's the two mercs in a wet quality following the one lap where Rus was P1.

Neat write up! I am in the Club Silverstone section of the Becketts grand stand and it is phenomenal! Lots of action today.., near collision, Perez slid off, Leclerc spin.

I also walked around the entire circuit between FP3 and quali and it's huge. It was neat to see where old layouts were evidenced by remnants of curbs here and there.

What a great track for my first live F1 race!

Max was right behind Leclerc in final lap. He was purple in first sector before he had to slow for Leclerc spin(yellow). He would have been on pole again. Kudos to Sainz for putting in that lap. Should be a good race.

Sky says Lando merch out sells all other drivers at Silverstone, including Lewis.

I could see that. I'm my section it was all about ham and how max robbed him though.

I wonder if that could also do with the quality of merch available? McLaren and Ferrari, by far had the best merch available. I almost bought some of theirs because of how cold and wet it has been because merc didn't have anything good.

But ...In that last lap MAX had to lift it for YELLOW while he was 0.8 sec faster .
Because Charlie spun in front of MAX .

Happy Carlos finally gets pole in his 150th GP but I think it’s he very unlikely to get his first win as well. Max clearly has the better one lap and race pace and the RB is easier one tire wear. It’d take something weird or reliability for him not to win. Ferrari needs to further reduce downforce for top speed, their are losing too much on the straights and are a sitting duck against DRS. They’ve gotta do really well these races before the break to have a chance at making the rest of this season interesting.

But for me the biggest surprise of the weekend by a mile is Latifi being in Q3. I can’t believe he still has a seat.

Latifi's 10th caught my eye also, he's getting to know how to do an Alonso in the squally conditions.
