Too lazy to read what? Statistics that you are making up as you go along? I read them, and asked you to provide a source. You seem unable to do so.

What facts? The guy is just making up statistics. Show me a source that backs up those claims, I'll wait.

This has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with corporate GREEDFLATION! If you care to investigate the oil companies proffits vs. prices, you'll see it's CORPORATE GREED!

Unfortunately, insurance companies don’t really rate on an individual basis, even with telematics. It would be very time consuming and not very feasible given companies have to file their rates with state regulators (that approve the rates).

Your wife, and all of us, get lumped into groups which can get pretty granular to get a better rate than other drivers. Still there are larger trends that will cause the indicated rate to go up, most commonly rising theft, weather events, inflation on parts and labor and of course, lawsuits.

I do this for a living (on the home insurance side). The good news is that Q1 2024 was much better for the P&C market, and the industry is trying to recoup billions lost in 2021 and 2022. We should begin to see some leveling of rates at the end of the year, and maybe even some downward pressure on price by 2026 if things continue to improve. Regional pricing will vary due to weather and legal environment.

ALL financials

Take a look at Allstate’s earnings since 2020. They are not an anomaly. It’s been bad even as revenue has risen. To blindly say corporate greed is lazy. Yes, all companies want to maximize profits, but insurance companies are content with a very low operating margin and making their money in investments. Even that doesn’t always work as seen. In the past couple of years

To say that the current admin is to blame for the cost of items is just as disingenuous. The largest economy in the world is still the best and a model the rest of the world looks up to. Especially after COVID. Corporations and small businesses are using the booming economy and the false narrative that this admin is to blame is not true.

Companies that fail in this economy of greedflation are just mismanaged, period. One case in point is Navient that was Sallymae. I happen to know the inside story.

Where did I say the current admin is to blame? Inflation has been extraordinary since 2021 for many reasons including COVID rebound and massive supply chain issues. Specifically with cars, as used cars became more expensive than new cars. Also, wages went up to combat inflation causing labor rates on repairs to increase. Even mom and pop shops are charging $100-120/hr for labor.

I was stating in general. Sorry. I am in warranty and see some large shop rates up to 170/185 now! People are crying that their wages didn't increase and blaming the wrong people. Blame your business. I see people's small businesses failing and blame the wrong people. I see their workers leave because they don't pay them enough. Businesses all around the world did the same and every countries inflation reacted yet somehow it's all one guys fault. It seems as if hilljack Georgia types believes their slum (town) is somehow different or the exact same depending on the subject. >>>rant over<<< Cultists infuriate me with their limited scope and heavy bias towards what fits their narrative.

Just got my renewal in MA from Plymouth Rock, pleasantly surprised my policy only went up ~8%. Total policy is $7450 for 4 cars and 5 drivers (2 teenagers) and one at fault accident from my 25 year old daughter (time to kick her off the policy).

Both of those companies were my least favorite to deal with plus add Liberty Mutual. I'll say it again for everyone, get a quote from Erie if available in your area.

Why Erie? Are they just less expensive? Do you bundle with them?

Good (well, as good as an increase could be), I'm dreading my renewal... I have Plymouth Rock also.

Erie can shove it as far as I'm concerned. They screwed me years ago when I was in my 20s and I've never forgotten what they did. Even if they're cheaper than any other insurance company out there, I won't send a single penny to them.

I'm now at 24k a year for all my cars. The worst part? If I have to actually make a claim, my rates will go up higher than what the claim was.

I wish I could just self insure...
