Why do people post pictures of the interior from the side outside the car? when you sit in the car what view do you see?

I dont think the side view looks bad, but it is in no way representative of how the interior looks when you are sitting in the drivers seat.

The new Audi design does not look good to me. Yes it's slightly more recessed, but in a really awkward way. Almost as if they're checking a box on screen integration, but in reality it's about as tacked on as any other car in the class. I'll reserve judgement until I sit inside one.

yeah not great. I agree most manuf are struggling with large screen layouts and are positioning them to rest on the “shelf” vs floating like Tesla, but eqs layout is probably close to most integrated. Again, I am not including material selection which is completely separate topic from design/layout and bmw has been doing well until new x3, ix and new 5 series came out.

Yeah, whatever that is, I don't want it.

I don't mind the infotainment screen being "non-integrated," as it's safer to use for things like Nav if it's elevated, and elevating it takes it out of being integrated. Looks better integrated, works better non-integrated.

But I'm just not a fan of more LED square footage just for the sake of making it LED, nor am I a fan of reinventing the "circle with needle" style indicators for RMP and Speed into some kind of Tron-looking thing just for the sake of looking "futuristic." It's a car, not a star cruiser.

The collision avoidance in my Bronco is not able to be switched off. Its sensitivity is adjustable though and I set it to the lowest sensitivity. Yet one day some OTA update executed and reset the sensitivity to max, which I was not aware of. I live on a rural road that runs next to a small river, where fisherman park on the side of the road when they fish the river. One day the collision avoidance lights up and scares the shit out of me. There was no car in front of me, just the parked cars on the side of the road. The system mistook the parked cars as stationary traffic that I could hit. It scared the shit out of me because I was "WTF! what does it see that I don't?" Well, it fucked up, there was no pending collision. That was that day I turned off the Bronco's connectivity so Ford wouldn't update the system and unknown to me reset the ADAS sensitivity.

ADAS - liability avoidance because of the big TV screen.

I have the similar experience like you on my m440 but just worse. The car apply emergency braking and make a hard stop. Lucky there isn't any car behind me or I will end up in a rear end collision.

Once you see an older car that was actually good looking you'll realize how awful it is. They will not age well

I've read a handful of people say the new styling has grown on them. I'm not one of them. Still in the 8 series because of it. I personally think they ruined the M3.
