Well I guess that is true with regards to 0-60 and straight line performance. Overall performance not so much.
I'm not really bashing the S5 though. I would take one over my 335xi in a second for the same reasons you are stating. |

Not so sure on the Challenger, but the Camaro certainly does. As you said it is in the whole package, where track times and overall performance is something I consider as a potential buyer.

You think the S5 looks so much better than the 335, yet you jizz when you see an M3. The cosmetic stuff you could do to your 335 would be pretty easy, and cheap. Honestly how hard is it to get a different bumper on your 335? I agree a stock 335 (non M-sport) looks a little plain vs the new S5 coupe. Add an Aero lip/M-tech front, side skirts, and a more aggressive rear and you've got one hell of a looker. Way better than the S5 IMO. It's pretty cheap too. Have you even driven the new M3? With all your track time spec posts you seem more like someone who gets their info off Motortrend.

Yea,your right. The audi S4's new look is sweet, the quatrro system is great and its pretty comfortable. Yet, it will never be as sportive as the bimmer predecessor. |

My Dad just ordered an S tronic Premium 10' S4 loaded with drive select and sport differential. Great all rounder imo for someone who doesn't want a high revving screamer and is looking for grunt with awd.

Speaking of "grunt", when it comes time to replace my 135i I'm thinking it'll either be the new S4, or a 335d. That won't be for a couple of years though so hopefully Audi will get bugs out of their new engine by then...

What bugs? That car doesn't have a HPFP failure which is why a lot of the 335i owners have strayed away from BMW. I wouldn't be surprised if that engine takes away the #1 spot from BMW in the engine of the year.

That's awesome. The stock S4 already is under rated, That things should be a beast.

I'm leaning toward the 335D though because they evidently can be re-mapped through the OBDII connector... 350hp and 500+ lb-ft. I'm sure the S4 will have some easy mods to 400+hp as well.
