GF pointed this out to me once and I totally forgot until I just did it right now: if I'm drinking something like a mixed drink and my ice melts before I'm done drinking I'll leave the drink, go get the ice, and carry it in my hands and put it in the drink that hasn't moved, despite all of the obvious reasons to just bring the drink with me
