Would not matter if they were not shielded.

Wow, makes me want to get a house so I can utilize a nice setup. Right now I live in a townhouse and get noise complaints a lot as it is.
Right now just have 46" 120Hz Samsung LCD, PS3, Apple TV, Samsung BluRay connected digitally to my Logitech Z-5500 speaker setup (nice computer setup that has worked well for my place. I at least have all of my speaker cords ran through the wall with Moster cable

Not to derail the thread but any recommendations on a good source to purchase a TV stand for a 46" flat screen? I found one I like but it is $1,000 and I don't want to spend that much. Prefer $500 or less. I want black, component storage, front doors either glass or covered but allows remotes to function. Need 20 to 23" high, no wider than 44".

What's your budget? I don't know shit about wireless subs, but there are ranges of different sound bars ranging from basic entry sound bars, to some shit that will plow your mind. I would just go with a wired sub and have a guy install a RCA wall plate. It's cheap and utilizes RG6 coax cable.

here is my set-up.... really excited about getting my first place and finally making it my own! i think the soundbar would go great right in front of the tv..not sure about placement of the sub though

why don't you just put the sub out to the side? whichever side has less foot traffic. that'll suffice. sound bar if you must, but since you have room to work with, i'd go for a bit more of a 'traditional' setup myself. put a couple bookshelf speakers on each side of the tv, good low profile center channel speaker, and sink a couple in-ceilings for the surround sound. i really like atlantic technology for a 'cheaper' speaker. they make some insane stuff, but their budget speakers are pretty freakin' good. i have a few atlantic technology ICTS-6.1-IP-S's around the house for audio...they sound phenomenal and only run $125 a piece. get a guy to drop them in for a less than $100 and you'll be completely satisfied, plus have a clean setup. they also make some lower priced, but awesome, bookshelf speakers. check out the 1400 series. i think that would be best in that room.
they make a good sound bar, too. http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo...0%20%20EGLSBLK $800. also check out def tech. http://www.amazon.com/Definitive-Tec.../dp/B001A6ID7U add the suggested sub, $1200 end of story, and superb quality. |

It looks like the best place for your sub would be in the corner. It does matter where your listening position is, but in this case it looks fine. Putting the sub in the corner will maximize it's output.

you mean corner of the room? or corner by the shiny vases?
on the left preferably...on the right is the entry-way and foot traffic enters from that side thanks again

You can really put a sub wherever you want really. In a corner, behind you, etc..

most hardcore sound guys will tell you to put it directly in front of the main listening position, but unless you're setting up a mega-reference system, it doesn't really matter. |
