I was unsure after the first episode as well, but I promise it gets better. Also, season 2 is hard to follow, but in the last episode for S2, it'll all make sense. The entire series is well worth a watch, I will likely be starting it over here soon.

My wife's favourite Star Trek character is Picard, she fell asleep about 20 minutes in. We may try again because the franchise is generally quite good. You are correct, he is 79 years old......nothing against old folk (there's a thread here which I actively post on) but I agree, he's past his best before date for this role.

Line of Duty.

British police show, excellent acting, only 6 episodes per season, and really intense.
What's not to love.

I watched it and then listened to a 6 part podcast that went a bit deeper and focused on who could have helped him. My answer: No one. That dude was jacked up from the ground-up.
