Quiet now. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves. Half of BP will be banned.

It's like one of those threads that just...happened. And nothing was done. So people restrained themselves to only talking about those evil pew pews in this thread and nowhere else.

And thus far, the mods seem happy to allow us to continue to respectfully discuss things here, and not elsewhere.
Are you sure you're not a closet American?

Close only counts for horse shoes and hand grenades.

Certain. But I have aunts and uncles down there, so probably I've adopted some of those feelings

Plus, I typically like the warm parts of America.

I gave up trying here in MA to get a gun permit, the local police chiefs have all the discretion in the world to deny you. Most times they will limit you to a hunting/home gun range permit. LTC is not even worth it around here with all of the restrictions

On a related note, is anyone here well versed in antique guns? I own an antique shop / art gallery and recently found 2 antique guns in an estate I purchased. I think I am good to sell them, I just don't know what (if anything) can get me in trouble with them legally.

First is a Remington Smoot Gun
Second is a AST Co. "Hero" gun

Both appear legal to sell without a license, but can I just advertise and sell them like any other good?

I think as long as they were produced prior to 1900, you're good to go. I just know it's a date (if that one is incorrect) that distinguishes between an antique and modern "firearm" by legal definition.

Edit: it's 1898 and it must not have been modified to use rimfire or centerfire ammo.

Thanks, I had heard the year I just wasnt sure about the act of selling it to anyone/everyone in my normal retail space. If I have to go down, possession of a 19th century gun is a pretty cool charge to have on my record

A pal just sent me a video of him firing his new belt fed H&K machine gun. Sick. Sick and expensive.

out here in liberal WA it maybe takes a month. Seems like it was more like 2-3 weeks.

Carry permit not purchase permit right? Carry permit in Florida was 6-8 months due to the backlog of paperwork but now that the greatest gun seller in US history is no longer president I bet that's lessened.

Had pistol shooting lab today was useful. Revisit basics and focus on getting aggressive fighting stance, grip, trigger, reset point and so on. Amazing the dumb little shit that makes all the difference. More classes to come. Defensive pistol, rifle, edged and combat.

You practice that dumb little shit so you can focus on what matters in the moment when needed. Essential.

Washington is different. You really only have the CCW permit. There is a 7-10 waiting period when you go to purchase. If you have a CCW they presume you already own a firearm and will release it to you that day.

Don't hold your breath. The current Attorney General wants the whole state to go to California rules, ie nothing over ten round capacity.

On the upside for anyone looking for ammo. I started using this recently and really like it. It will tell the cheapest places on the web to buy ammo from.

Same here in Florida. It just takes longer to get a carry permit because of the backlog. 6-8 months. As long as you aren't a felon, and can legally own age wise etc, you just wait the 10 days to buy. No permits. And if you have a ccw, just buy and go.

Get rid of your gov.
