Seem to recalled (from 10 years ago, the last time it was on the menu) the Pork Slab was thicker... The usual shrinkflation!

I’ve seen it on commercials from time to time saying that the McRib is back. Never looked appealing to me. Like I said, maybe I’ll give it a try next time it comes around. I’m thinking there must be something to it if it keeps showing up over and over. Lol

Royal Asia Dim Sum ($6 off at Costco).

A reviewer on the web mentioned that the sauce was the $hits and she was right. I made my own; Champagne Vinegar, Soya Sauce and Sesame Oil.

An eclectic local establishment recently took over the dumpy deli down the road from where I live. Since I'm WFH today, I picked up a meatball parm empanada (probably a crime against humanity in areas with sizable central-American populations) and a chicken fingers appetizer. Total bill was under $10, and the food was excellent. Just waiting on the CGM meter to tell me if I can eat from there again in the future.....

Got 3 sandwiches from Jersey Mike's yesterday and the price was over 60 bucks. Thought that was kinda high for 3 basic sandwiches.

Then when I went to pay with my credit card a tip screen popped up. They didn't do anything to deserve a tip so I clicked the nada button. Annoying...

Are you shooting up, or just monitoring?

A typical day for me has a much wider range of numbers. . . Last night I went to bed at 9:30-10, was about 120. 3:00 the alarm went off as I went over 280. Took an extra shot, and when I got up at 5:30 I was at 304 I'm hungry now, lunch wasn't in the cards.

Giant size, supposed to be 15 inches, but I didn't measure.

Yes, that's a decent size sandwich, but $20 each, and they want a tip?

Pumpkin???? Which type of restaurant might I find that?
I know when I used to go to a certain Thai place, they had pumpkin slices with whipped cream for dessert. Never knew I liked pumpkin outside of a pie

My A1C was literally off the lab test machine's scale (14+) at my last test, and my normal range was frequently 400+ a month ago. Fast-acting wasn't doing crap for me as my doctor kept increasing the dose, and my long-lasting dose was already maxed out at the highest recommended and not doing anything. One would think that my diet was bon-bons and donuts, but it really was not!

Just over a month ago, I decided to go beast mode on eliminating all carbs and starches. Rabbit food, three meals per day. The first week, the Libre 3 was logging between 250-400+ (maxed out). The second week, both levels dropped by 50. I tried a cup of coffee with a splash of milk one morning, and it shot right back over 400 again for several hours. I tried fast-acting a few times, but it still didn't move the proverbial needle.

Long story short, the graphs kept improving each subsequent week, with no fast-acting. A picture of the current week's Libre 3 ranges chart is worth a thousand words:

Name: ranges.jpg
Views: 447
Size: 62.3 KB

(Note that at some point recently, the medical profession decided to raise the top target range from 150 to 180. Using the old 150 top range, I'm still in target for 75% of the time.)

I can drink 1/4 cup of OJ before bed and not even twitch the Libre's needle now. I'm afraid to even try fast-acting, because it will probably work now and send me into a low sugar shock now that I am detoxed from all the stored sugar that was polluting my blood with nowhere to go.

The pastry shell on today's lunch empanada caused a spike from 130 to 175, which came back down to the 150's by dinner (lemon pepper wings from BWW) and is still holding flat around there. I'm sure that it will be around 110 again in the morning.

Hey, you asked.....
