I’m not a fan of hammy verbalizing a bundle of excuses. From his perspective after being so dominate, it has to be the equipment.

He rationalization preserves his champion mindset, he has seen first-hand what happens to a driver’s performance when doubt creeps into the equation (nico, bottas, riccardo, Vettel).

It’s a self preservation approach for certain externally-motivated individuals.

If the excuses stop, it’s game over for him.

Lando did a great job being a PIA for the two top teams. He certainly earned more respect.

With the Williams MERC engine failure, Merc may use the opportunity to provide “reliability” tweaks that may improve pace.

Watching it now guests have gone, sure Checo was unlucky there with the wheel nut but just a few seconds lost. Max was asking something about his brake-by-wire activation but it seemed to have held on okay.

The hammy car is being pushed more to it's max according to him and Max is holding the gap at just the right amount without opening the taps up more.
Just seen Russell get out of 63 with that retirement as the merc PU cried enough.

Yeah he's got the 'Beverly hillbillies' hammy well thrashed beyond the sell by date clanky Merc PU's to contend with shoved out the storage area by wolf.

Today it was an easy one for MAX . The gap in the last lap vs Hammy was 35.743 sec !
In F1 terms : "That's a sea of time" !

Next weekend ? Same situation and even worse for Hammy !

I see 12 laps from end that hammy's right front tyre was beginning to delaminate on the inside edge, just shows they miss their banned DAS which should have been banned last year.

Good race, am pleased for Max & RB

If we disregard Lewis last pit stop Max was around 15 seconds clear, I suspect Lewis & MB are feeling a bit miffed & now it's 4 consecutive races without a win, unprecedented during this hybrid era.
Looking forward to next week's race.

Hammy is going "DOWN" like a brick in the water !

Looks like RB has a clear upper hand over Merc at the moment, I hope Merc can claw back some performance so we get 2 horse race for the trophy all through the season to be decided in the last race.

I’m glad Ferrari locked up Charles for the long term and he is immensely talented but his awareness of personal space needs to improve. First turn is just a bunch of cars coming up to one corner together but the contact with Gasly going up to turn 3 was mostly his fault as he had room to his left. Clipping Kimi’s wing was all Charles, we was very lucky not to get a puncture. But hugely impressive he got all the way back to P7.

A bit surprised that Danny is doing so poorly this season. Understandably Lando car is much more tuned to his liking and driving style being at the team for a few years but I didn’t expect the gap to be this much.

I’m getting more and more jealous of everyone that doesn’t live in the desert. May through August here is “monsoon season” but we usually get a few days of sprinkles. Hell, there’s usually more dust walls than there is rain. But good thing is I’m in the early stages of moving my ass east towards fresh seafood and rain

I think there was a report and even coming from Mercedes themselves that there was very little that could be done with the W12 to boost performance, never mind getting performance to shorten the gap that VER had on HAM today.

The W12 and its predecessors were never meant for straight-line speed so doubtful that they can find much there in terms of engine upgrades, which leaves the chassis but how much time can they gain from that?

The rest of the season is definitely going to be interesting.

Mate I can feel your pain ..
The last years we've been hit by heatwaves as well , followed by tropical thunderstorms and damage !
We've got temps from 42°C in the shade , and lack of water .
I had to wash myself with bottles of Evian water ...my lawn was gone , completely burned by the sun .
Actually crazy situations for in Belgium ..One thing is for sure , the climate change is real !

But that boring game is over now ! So is DAS ! Just wait and see mate !
The new HONDA PU Spec-2 isn't turned open yet ...

MAX is only 23 and he took Hammy already down .
The best has yet to come !

Quite possibly my friend & it'll be an interesting season. MB & Lewis need to pull something out of the bag for next race, although I suspect it'll be more of a case Lewis & MB minimising the loss of Austria.

I think if Max & RB go on to take the win at Silverstone Max will win the championship & that'll be good for F1, am interested to see whether it be a close battle, or RB & Max romping away with it, either way it should be good.

The latest about MAX :

MAX got a warning from Masi for dangerous drifting over the finish line.
Just because Toto and Hammy screamed behind the curtains 'Penalty ...Penalty !

It's such a F* BS and Masi is an A$$h@le !!!
