That's good. Similar to the 2002 Hommage.

Thundernight M240i will suit my needs and is perfect size.
Go For it!

Couldn't put it better myself,

The new 2 is OK but it's definitely not something you fall in love with at first sight.

No doubt the technology and interior design is going to be nice at least..

The rear destroys everything. Taillights designed by a dog.

Looks good, like a more modern version of the F87. The rear looks fine to me, even if it shouts Mercedes to my mind instead of BMW. Anyway, the rear of the actual 2series and M2 look pretty outdated, so this change is for the best, IMO. Overall, it’s a nice surprise!
But I still don’t understand why the OG and LCI M2 had no M-mirrors, and now the M240i have some…
If this is the normal 2series, the G87 is going to be spectacular!

Wow the rear end is an eyesore kinda tragic because the rest of the car looks VERY good to my eyes.

Hopefully the LCI has a different taillight design.

Agree. The tail light design just doesn't mesh very well. The back definitely looks better at certain angles than others.

Need to see it in person though. I remember similar thoughts here when the f87 "fangs" were a big deal design wise.

I am liking it and I am sure it will look even better in real life.
Waiting for my M2 comp ( delivery late July) after 4 years in the OG…looks like it will be the G87 when the comp lease expires based on these images with only regret no DCT…so probably back to a MT😂

Had to be a disappointing angle on this car huh and it looks like it’s the rear 3/4 and tail light design- trunk dip doesn’t look great either. The rest of the car looks solid but I like the current kidney grille butterfly angular design of the f87 better.

My dog resents that comment, says he could do MUCH better.

I've seen at least one spy shot of a test mule's somewhat covered-up interior. Looks basically just like the new G80 design language - steering wheel, vents, trim around them, iDrive screen, and all-digital instrument cluster basically look exactly like the G80 stuff.

And of course it will have iDrive 7, which now allows over-the-air software updates. Read a long thread last night in a G80 forum with owners complaining about losing ConnectedDrive services such as RTTI, and BMW being unable to fix the problem - for months on end, with horrendous customer service when attempting to get the issue resolved. Yet another reason I much prefer a car that's been out a few years before I take the plunge.

Not feeling the triangle at the front.

My loaner right now is a 2 series gran coupe. If this car is RWD, looks like these shots, and has the interior of this 2 series GC, it's perfect! This 2 series coupe would make up for everything I don't really like on the GC.
