I was in charge of BMW M and cared about designs, I would just ban selling this car with any other color but black. I absolutely love it! I like the new BMW designs and probably why I jumped onboard. Having coming from outside the brand, BMW currently has the best overall quality in its segment.

I'm sure companies will create a replacement diffuser that deletes the V in the middle of the diffuser.

BMW just needs to stop with these gloss-black plastics and overstyled non-functional nonsense and bumpers with overbites.

G8x look much cleaner with all the black bits paint-matched. Now the non-M Sport G60 has matte black side skirts as if we're living in 1980.

I really wanted to like the new M5 as I don’t like the G80 and so am still in my F80 which I specced in 2018. I still don’t like the front of the G80 but the rear is worse to my eyes and that new M5 looks to be heading the same way. I like bright colours and object to speccing a car in dark colours to cover up a poor design (to my eyes), so after decades of BMWs I really don’t think my next car will be - I’ll take my £120k elsewhere - I will wait to see it in the flesh before I decide though…

Again, all these "spy" or leak shots are always taken at the worse angles which makes whatever we're looking at a lot worse than it is. This was the same when the M3/M4 grilles leaked for the first time and same with the 2er/M2.

No comment until the M5 gets released or we get way better pictures than an up close, underslung image of the rear corner of the car.

I only now participate on these forums because of the engagement, activity level and genuine passion for cars among members. Sadly though, BMW has really lost the plot and won’t be earning my business for the foreseeable future. No point even hoping for an M5 touring at this rate. In the meantime, there are limited other offerings that I’ll gladly opt for over these unsightly cars.
