I know which I'd rather have. Samsung have to drop their pants to do it. By one get one free everywhere. Cheap options all the time. Apple just sell full price all the time.

I don't know man, my take on this is that there is a reason for the difference in marketing strategies. Apple could sell a rock to 90% of it's customers and they would stand in line for 4 days in advance to get it. Not just Samsung but any android based phone is geared toward tech and the ability for it to be free and the users tend to be a bit more tech savvy. Most iPhone purchases are made because of 1 of 2 reasons 1.) Apple dumbed down technology to make it easier for people to use and 2.) their buddy has one.

Depends on your perspective I guess. The way I see it, Samsung and all the Google device developers throw a lot of technology at their devices - Apple makes it actually work. So it's not really dumbing down, it's refining it and making it usable.

Interesting take I suppose. I worked in the cell phone industry for years. I've carried everything from BlackBerry, Palm devices, iPhones and Android. Can't say that ever had an android platform device that didn't work or saw how any apple device that worked better than any android. I guess everyone has their preference. My only complaint about using apple products is that you are tied to their proprietary software, that and in the fine print any of the information used for an iPhone is now the property of apple for using their product; this includes all pictures, contact information etc.
