Shit I neglect my thread for a few days and come back to an OS war. Didn't expect that on Bimmerpost lol.

Well considering one phone and one brand is Ios and virtually hundreds of phones and numerous manufacturers are Android (even ones that are $90), i'd say that's a fair assumption.

That's only because most Android phones in the market are under $200, where Apple doesnt compete. Apple makes over 85% of the profits in the industry because they own the high end market.

Apple sold 220M iPhone in the last year. No single Android phone model even comes close, including Galaxy S models, Notes, Pixels, LG, OnePlus, etc.

Ewan Spence has always been an Apple hater. He's lazy and takes one source without verifying it or thinking critically and runs with it. That's exactly what he did in his battery statements.

I've even had to email him for inaccuracies in his writing about Apple. There is a mistake in the article you just posted from him too.

as much as i wanted to keep using my 7 until it blew up, the screen cracked after a drop and the comms module is fried so i have a brick instead of a phone.

im honestly on the edge; idk if i want to get another 7 to save some money, but they don't sell jet black anymore, if i should "upgrade" and get a 8 or get a used X and call it a day or just get a 256gb Xs. Xr seemed like a good proposition but at the size of the plus phones it's out of the question i think its too big

I really just completed testing on the Xs Max for work and have to say it’s a worthy upgrade over the 6/7/8+ series. Those three devices are largely the same....yes one is slightly faster etc than the next but essentially the same form factor, OS and if you didn’t tell a typical person which one they were holding they wouldn’t know save for wireless charging on the 8+.

FaceID is so fast that most times was left to wonder if it was actually checking for my face. It was almost as if there was no lock screen. The entire authentication process is very fast, much faster than TouchID. And the screen is noticeably bigger and more colorful too. Can’t speak for photos and iOS12 is essentially the same across the board. I can’t say I’d pay $999 but we get them for $699 through Verizon.

I have a lot of heavy usage on Fridays. So much so that I got a mophie case for my 8+, but am seeing that I still have 50+% at the end of the work day with the Xs vs needing to use low power mode on the 8+ if I didn’t have the case battery.

What’s also very nice is that the Xs Max is just slightly smaller, I mean by millimeters, but the screen is larger since the bezel is thin due to not being needed for TouchID. I also noticed that the sides seem to be grippy despite being black chrome. Not sure what the material is but I always had the issue with the older phones being too slippery and requiring a case I didn’t want to use.

I voted XS MAX. I do miss the bigger screen fro my old 6 Plus when I upgraded to the X. My X is still in immaculate shape though, so I might sell it and just go out of pocket a couple hundred for the XS MAX.
