Kidding aside, RB has no excuses anymore. Their car is just as fast (if not faster in a lot of areas). The difference when things are this close is the driver first and then the team IMO. Max still can't manage tires during a race consistently like HAM or others for that matter. Also, RB doesn't have the best in race prep or strategy. You even hear Max complain about all the time the last few years.

Things are still close enough that they could change, but RB better figure it out quick as HAM is about to pull a full race lead in the points shortly. Could come down to how many DNFs each side ends up with in the end.

What happens at the end of an F1 race...on the podium?
What happens at the beginning of a sporting event in this and most other countries?
What is painted on the side of a F1 car in a prominent position next to the driver.
What is sewn onto their uniforms?
I could go on and on.

Politics is woven into the very fabric of sport. Especially this sport. It's regulated by one of the most political organizations in the world: The FIA.

Actually the Olympics were designed to bring together Nations REGARDLESS of their political beliefs, meaning they put aside their differences and not try to convince the other of how right their beliefs are, and simply enjoy sports together.

I would suggest that all sport should absolutely take an anti racism stance.
And I find it quite unsettling to read criticism of Hamilton for his efforts in this area and question the motivation behind that criticism.
At the same time I understand the reluctance of Sport organising bodies to get involved in overt demonstrations...where do you draw the line between what is a just cause to demonstrate pre-race and what isn't.

this has nothing to do with politics at this stage.. saying we re all equal, thinking about sustainability and more is just a humanist approach..

even if you say that it is political.. F1 is happy about this, Merc' changed his traditional color from silver to black for it.. maybe not forever but for now.. and Lewis brought this to F1.. i dont see any harm saying "We Race As One".. for motorsports or from brands side.. if brands wouldnt like it, they d go away already.. if they re staying, means they re ok with it as well.. they dont pay for something they dont like..

and im happy that F1 is drawing some attention to such topics.. we re all humans in the end..

In contracts, we call this an exclusionary statement. They can do whatever the fk they want.

If you don't think the Olympics is political, go and read some of the articles about site selection. ALL global organizations are political and they are political of the worst stripe: The most competently corrupt politicians who have excelled beyond their local and national markets are on the world stage and run these organizations.
