I stopped playing the card game years ago. I purchased nice custom stationery for about 125 bucks for 250 cards. Embossed with my name and address with very nice cards to hand write a message. People keep them and never forget the thought behind the act of writing and the quality cards.

Pro-tip. Do this. Dammit...where are my pants and how did I get to the office?!?!

Yes, this. The only time i buy my wife a card is if it something that is so outrageously inappropriate (she loves that shit), other than that it's a hand written note. So I broke my own rule today. We haven't done anything for VD for years now, (house rule). My wife has been having a terrible few months at work, a dear friend died this week and we have been going through the process of evicting a non rent paying tenant in our rental property. We need a bit of us time so I've made some chocolate dipped strawberries, and have some bubbley chilling for the hot tub when she gets home. Some nice home made pizza for dinner and a quiet evening with some candles and the right slow jazz.....and if she plays her cards right, she can have me.

Funny story, in my late teens (think 19) I got the girl I was dating back then a gift (forgot what it was) and a card....

In that card I had wrapped a thong I purchased for her to see her in that night LOL. I remember the sheer embarrassment I had going into that Victoria's Secret with a friend of mines. His gf at that time worked there too, so she pointed us in the right direction where to look lol. So embarrassing, but a great friend for tagging along!

Spent VD with my wife and dad in his new rehabilitation center. After all the hell raising I did that was mentioned in the "Confess Here" thread.....and some sweet talking of some social case workers and administrative assistants.....he essentially has a private suite, a chef to cook meals specific to his condition, and getting 3 hours combined of PT/OT each day. It looks like a luxury spa retreat.

Made my wife cry when she seen where he went comparing where he came from.

So dad is happy although he has a long road ahead of him.

Wife got gifts and she's happy, and she got me these assorted pieces of some of the best Ghost Pepper infused jerky in tiny vacuum packs that taste like they were made from premium beef.

So a good day all around. And oh yeah....I got laid and all that too.....but that was a "given".

We went to a noodle bar. Salmon roe is nasty, but salmon bowl was great
