After doing some crazy digital (Esoteric, dcs, Meridian and some others) I finally found my peace with tubes and vinyl. I have a healthy vinyl collection now and if I take out the time to listen, I prefer to spin those black discs

I've been getting into a lot of Jazz lately and vinyl seems to just get it right, preferably mastered by the right people (Steve Hoffman, Kevin Gray, Greg Calbi, Bernie Grundman, Shawn Britton). I love Analohue Productions, MFSL, ORG etc. who take time and put in effort to get the original analog master tapes and get us close to the real experience.

Wow just found this thread, Amazing setups... I know this thread is two years old but its a "Show off your HT thread "
So I dont think it qualifies as a bringing back from the dead post.

Heres my basic home theater setup.
  • RECEIVER - Marantz SR5006
  • MAINS - PSB Image T5's
  • CENTER - PSB Image C5
  • REARS - Klipsch Quintetts ( being replaced with PSB Image B5's )
  • SUB - Klipsch RW-12D
  • HTPC - Mac Mini running PLEX ( love it, has IR and works flawless )
  • TV - Samsung 46" LNT4665f 1080p ( 55"+ Coming soon )
  • Gaming - Wii modded + XBOX 360 - 120gb

New rear speakers plus dedicated blu-ray player, Not sure which to go with yet coming soon.

Only pics I have of rear channels / couch ( old setup ) new Bookshelf + stands on the way.

Pic when we purchased the house. Looks similar now but we put a Sharp 80" LCD 1080p 240hz and Martin logan 7.2 surround system with rack, power conditioner, surge protector & Marantz Amps.

I had narrowed it down to my 75" Samsung and the Sharp 80".

i wished the 80" would have gotten as good reviews as the Samsung, because i really wanted all 80" in my living room....

but after reading the "laggy" and "not so great picture quality" comments, i chose the 75" Samsung...

maybe in 2 or 3 years Samsung and Sharp will battle it out by both releasing a non 4K 90" or 100" TV that doesn't cost $4500-6000....

p.s.
your house looks nothing short of baller
